Arkadiy through his vehicle ARA Capital along with Valentin Bukhtoyarov (Bandbear) are the majority owners, Roman has no investment in this pie. Obviously you'd expect Arkadiy would have had a chat or 2 with daddy about this company since it's in his field of expertise though!

I have to admit I'm a little disappointed with the silence on the Zoltav front, I was expecting with the oil price drop there would be a lot of opportunities for Arkadiy and co to grow the company through acquisitions as they seemed to indicate they wanted to? Even if they didn't succeed in purchases at least make a bit of noise to show you're still in the game! Instead we still sit at a price of 21p with a ridiculous spread of over 30%!

Well if he only bought 15000 shares then it doesn't exactly show a great commitment to the company. My view is that with Arkadly and Bandbear both holding 40% each this isn't something they will let slide, it might be boring for now but I would expect further purchases in future.

Bought 5k for my ISA as see these as a good long term prospect, they then drop a point after the purchase so bought some more, very odd move!

Interesting isn't it how undervalued ZOL currently is? They bought the Bortovoy license for $180 million, it's had a markup in value following a fair value appraisal of $35 million (so this single asset is $215 Million) and the value of the company is $203 Million? So discounting the huge potential of the Koltogor prospect the company is trading at way below it's asset value, let alone any future prospects, go figure!

Interesting that that Mercer trade hasn't shown up as yet?

As far as I can understand ZOL are a UK listed company with assets in Russia, as, for example, are BP and Shell. Pretty sure the sanctions don't affect these companies so why would ZOL be affected?

Well personally happy to keep topping up at these levels. Company will be cash generating after buying the Bortovoy Licence, no debt with associated Russian bank issues, plus even if the EU do impose energy sanctions then I'm pretty sure the Chinese would be more than happy to pick up any slack here.

Now they have the Bortovoy deal completed and it's cash generating what does anyone think the prospects of a dividend are?

Free float 7.77million shares, MCAP £190million. I'm sure lots of small pi's etc holding these, so the amount the MM can play with has to be very limited, I hold about 1% of this free float in my SIPP and I certainly don't count myself as a big player! Share price has dropped 20% in 4 trading days on volume of 92k shares, so for sake of argument let's say they were all sells (which they certainly weren't). So approximately £130k in sales takes takes a £190m company down 20% on no news? Personally I can't see any other explanation apart from free float issues?

It appears the price is getting knocked around on very low volume, I suppose one of the prices you pay for a small float? The only consolation is any buying will push things up very quickly again.

Thanks, that's even more of a tight free float, sure there are plenty of pi's who won't be parting with their shares anytime soon either. I presume the company is happy to stay on AIM for the time being so this isn't an issue here?

Seems like things are moving nicely post AGM, not huge volumes but up 10%. Looking at the share figures only about 10% of shares not tied up with the big boys so could be interesting times volatility wise.

I contacted them today and got the following reply: Thank you for your email regarding Zoltav Resources. As you are aware Zoltav's shares were temporarily suspended from trading on 12 November 2013 pending an announcement and publication of an admission document relating to the company’s proposed acquisition of Royal Atlantic Energy (Cyprus) Limited which, through a wholly-owned subsidiary, holds the Bortovoy Licence. Trading in Zolav’s shares will remain suspended pending publication of a Shareholder Circular (comprising an admission document) which is expected to be posted to shareholders in due course. I am sorry that I am unable to offer any specific clarity on the expected timetable for the shares to resume trading. While the previous estimation was indeed end-Q1, I would now expect it to be towards the middle of Q2. However, I must stress this is only an estimation and it could be sooner or later than that. Sure no problem. Just hope there's news soon about them trading again, it's been 5+ months in suspension now and it would be good to know when they expect things to happen. We were led to believe there'd be news in the first quarter which hasn't happened.
