How many of us were brought up with cold linoleum rather than fitted carpets, single glazing rather than double glazing, ice on the insides of the windows where condensation froze, blankets rather than duvets, coats piled on top for extra warmth, sleeping in clothes rather than PJs and no central heating.
.... and open coal fires, and a gazunder as the toilet was outside and the bath was zinc and put in the kitchen infront of the range.
ah the good old days, makes one quite nostalgic.

His competence appears to lay in his ability to keep shareholders utterly and completely in the dark along with all other members of this absolutely inert BOD.
He is probably checking to ensure his monthly income is still going into his bank account, not much time for anything else.

His eyes glazed over. He didn't have a clue what I was talking about
He either didn't understand in which case he is not a fit person to be the senior executive on the board.
If he did understand them then he is even less qualified to serve on the board.
Both scenarios bring into question his competence in some form or other
I have no intention of selling for a while.
See how it goes.
My current gain is on a selling price of about 9.5p would be around £50,000 so nowhere near a Bentaygo. (Yet !)
Along with may other long term holders (My first buy was just under 50p) I'm in it for the long ride. If it tanks it tanks, one has to look at shares such as Hurricane in the same way that one considers an evening at a casino or at the races. You win or lose. Don't moan if it goes the wrong way.
If it continues back to 12p I'll be able to buy the Bentley Bentaygo I promised myself.
But why is our share price falling again whilst others like Tullow are Rising.
But now it's gone up.
Ah the excitement of being a Hurricane shareholder.

0730 - Schlem, also the possibility that he's done it claiming it to be the start/end of a quarter.
It is my belief based on the response received from Richard at Crystal Amber that CA has asked for an update regarding the cash position and that an update will also be made with the production details after each upload.
So based on that we are unlikely to get further updates, unless something more dramatic is involved, until the next upload and this may be a while with the September shutdown.

Just sent a revised version.
Dear Mr Wolfe
I was a little surprised at the comment that was made in the recent RNS that the company has the intention of removing the monthly financial and production updates and intends to only issue these on a quarterly basis.
Whilst I am sure that this may well be in line with industry practice it does perhaps dent a little the confidence in the current management of the company built up since, and in comparison to that of, the previous old Board of Directors.
All shareholders will be extremely grateful for the manner in which the recent management of the company has turned it around from what were previously quite dismal days and the excellent returns allowing for the total repayment and accrued interest of the Convertible Bonds; which are perhaps not entirely due to the unprecedented increase of global oil prices, but can be in no small part due to the actions of the current BoD, both executive and non-executive.
I have personally found the monthly reports to be of value and would find it a backward step in maintaining my appreciation for the current actions of the board, as do, I believe, many other small shareholders in Hurricane.
It remains of great interest for shareholders to see the production and financial results relating to the single well and until the company has proposed future plans it would perhaps be perhaps a little premature to remove what has been the only source of information that shareholders can relate to.
Already down £90K - realised.
Surely if you're down "Already down £90K - realised. " then you have sold, otherwise you haven't lost anything yet.
How much were you "down" when the sp reached 1p -
I did buy a top up at 1.3p to counter my then average in the 40p range as I'm sure a number of inversters (gamblers) did.
I presume this is the report you saw.

What about PlutHygieia?
At least it would indicate some wish for the company to be successful.

I could have written your post of today.
Wife's portfolio 90% paying dividends with a couple of small wild cards. She is down over the last month or so by about 11% but up over the year.
Mine on the other hand is down about 20% over the last month but up by 22% over the year.
But my wife gets a lot more dividends.
