Thorn.
"... And there has been to the chance to buy shares rather cheaply (hopefully) with a very near term expectation of significant rises on the cards?"
As a long term holder and even with the recent cheap shares, which I gratefully accepted and they have increased my holding to a fair amount above 2,000,000, I and I suspect a fair number of LTH's are still substantially down.
Mr Buck may well have justification for the requirement for new funding (despite the continued statements that the company was funded into next year) however I query the amount of the drop in the price for a small number of shareholders and the very small amount of shares that were allotted to the remainder.
I'm fairly certain that he could have received the same result with a 20/25% drop in the share value and a larger offering to private investors. The obvious immediate profit from the low of 2p could not really ignored for those lucky enough to be included in the initial offer of which Mr Buck was, very sensibly, a participant.
I am still of the opinion that the company will be very successful and am looking for a 6p to 8p valuation over the next 3 - 6 months, however its potential success could have been handled better .
