Afraid I cannot see your argument. Do unit and investment trusts only invest in 3-4 companies? I was always taught that to invest wisely, it was better to invest in serveal different companies and in different sectors of the market, to speard ones riak and to get a blanced portfolio. I must have been doing it wrong all of these 60 years that I have been investing?

With the way this company has performed over the last two years a bonus of £800k for Bird is hardly justified is it?

I have been watching buys/sells on this share over the last few months. There have been a lot of substantial buys. I am not trying to talk this up, although I am a holder, but have felt for some time that we may be ripe for a take over? What do others think.

I have a substantial holding in M and S and fear that tomorrow we may all be in for a rude awakening. I hope that I am proved wrong. The market is expecting bumper profits and I fear that this has already been factored into the recent share rise. Personally I would be happy with an exit price of £3 but I do not think that we shall see that tomorrow. Market prove me wrong! GLA

Happy thaat we have had some sustained upward movement in the shares for us LTH. There have been some sizeable buys

recently. Is this because there are thoughts of a return of capital or is someone lining up a bid. I am now in profit-hallelujah, but will hold as I expect further developments.

We thought that afer the debacle of Vialogy, Premaitha now Yourgene, could rise out of the ashes and prove a good long term investment. Sadfly ouir hopes have been dashed. The company had we felt a good product with bags of potential. Sadly it became just a badly managed AIM company who lost the basic concept that you can't spend more than you can earn. In our view poor management tried to expand too quickly. It is very sad and disappointing for us poor PI's. If it was well managed it is worth far more than the dirasary sum being offered. Let us hope for a white Knight, but knowing our luck, it won't ha;ppen. A very sad day.

I have held these shares for some time and they have been disappointing. However I have been watching the buys/sells over the last few days, and there have been several large purchases. I may be wrong but I feel something may well be afoot.

I have therefore added to my holdinmg today. Anyone else have any thoughts?

I tnink that the appointment of a new CFO has ended any thoughts of a take over bid ,as why would anyone take a new job in a company that is likely to be taken over. Our only hope, as we see it, is for the company to be taken private. Howeverwe are not sure at what price that will be for our long suffering shareholders.

Both I and my parishioners have held these shares for some time. We are getting a bit confused with all of the share movements. It would appear that one of two things will happen:
1. Frazers will take them over.
2. The Alliances will engineer a takeover taking it private.
If the Alliances take it over what price will it be? We thought that the takeover would be at an average price that they had aquired their holdings. If that is the case then the price may not be far north than the current price.
Your views would be welcomed as we are losing the plot.

I and my fellow parishioners are totally aghast with the evnts of the day. If you are going to dilute the equity of PIs then at least let them partake in a normal rights issue. We believe that the company's concepts are good and that it has good products. What is paramountly clear is that it is run by non business and financial people. Sales have been holding up , but it is obvious to anyone with a modicum of a business brain, that if a company cannot generate more revenue.,then it has to cut costs.
