Sol - Interesting that some many of the usual bashers are not here today on the comment board.

I sense even they feel they probably over did it on Friday. Wednesday's drop was understandable as people might have been nervous as duff numbers could have created a free fall the next day. But their numbers were excellent.

Friday's was a disgrace and I suggest that the analysts co-ordinated to release their guidance in order to allow their trading teams in a slaughter it. I wouldn't be surprised if there is some form of investigation on the exchange as they should have suspended it.

I'm expecting a gradual chip up from here.

Seer - The fact that Trump and Xi Jinping have already booked in a meeting post the provisional background talks makes me think that agreements are not far off.

KAZ (and many other miners) lost 20% within a couple of weeks of the tariffs kicking off, so I would expect that to be clawed back pretty quickly should hostilities be neutralised with some good outline agreements. Trump has to get something sorted quickly has he has the midterms on the way and these Tariffs are starting to bite at home.

It finished at 447 on Friday, it's now 484.

I'd say lack of confidence if pretty endemic in the markets right now as Trump's team seems to smash the markets down even after a moderately good day. I think they feel they are being clever.

That said, KAZ BoD really do need to release an acknowledgment and clarification RNS as soon as possible Hopefully this is what they are working on now and will release shortly.

Seer - To be honest, I think the holiday thing could be the case to be honest. When you look at those directors who bought in on Friday (options).

I still think this will be back up to close to 600 by Friday. The prelim China talks will start to build confidence slowly thorough the week.

Like for many miners. I think we just need to see 2-3 stable growth days then I think people will feel confident enough to re enter the market.

biochem - Few here would disagree with that sentiment.

The deal might be good but I think the global climate makes the timing all wrong and I think this is where the BoD need to put their hands up in the Ivory Tower and admit to it and suspend the deal until things improve.

In short I think a couple of groups are using the silly season to drop the price and get in.

Read the half year report again and tell me this is a crap company.

MisterPositive - The deal is conditional on a 6 month evaluation. So they answer to your question is yes.

But what I've read here today makes me realise that their message and communication have really confused investors.

Fine, but what 'bad news' could they be hiding.

Their results were great and they put a ahem 'modest' dividend in.

As someone put the Russia deal is 'conditional' and there is no evidence to suggest they have paid anything. They might have had to stump some form of retainer but nowhere near the full amount. Keep in mind also, it's years away.

Having been a management advisor to a board for some year and through a number a 'shakey days', I would suggest that they are in conference at the moment and trying to ascertain, via their market advisors, if this is just some form of manipulation or is it significant holders selling out (based on important people shouting down the phone at them).

I find the timing of the pre-results drop and today's drop highly suspicious to be honest but I think it will be remedied shortly.

Charts - In markets like this the 'green shoots' theory never works. You always lose the bottom 15% on the sudden bounce.

As well you know with the like of PFG what goes down often bounces back up (albeit temporarily)

Oddly KAZ seems almost like a binary play now. When they release an RNS shortly this will fly.
