Anapa69 - I've said all along. PFC need more contracts. They are in the bidding for some Monster contracts but it's been relative small fry so far this year regardless how peppy Mr Asfari is coming across. i think they will eventually come good.

This was doing the rounds yesterday, with a mixed bag of comments associated with it. It would be a nice boost to the SP if the news lands soon. South Africa seems like a Switzerland-esque stable country compared to DRC.

Hopefully see a strong uplift tomorrow.

Which makes me think this is why they have targeting (allegedly) Glencore as a deflection story against the embarrassment of Barclays. Another taxpayer shambles.

Bluey, the problem here is that, to the likes of you and I, it's a bit of a boring slam dunk but to the wider market it is still a bit of a cross to bear for this stock. Barely a story gets posted without it's mention and a 60p down shift is quite move. I can see why people mention it but it would help if people familiarised themselves with the timeline and the key points before using the 'SFO' thing as a catch-all excuse for a drop.

Wiggy - I think they will probably want to see some light at the end of the DRC tunnel before announcing anything of that magnitude otherwise it could signify desperation ala CLLN. Next RNS will send this spinning.

Correct - I think Ivan et al will probably be feeling that they need to get some positive news out there almost as a distraction to recent events.

wiggy - Hopefully they might announce something this week on a couple of fronts which could see this pushed beyond the �4 mark. It would be nice if they rewarded investors for sticking with them through this tricky patch.

DT - BN56 - At the end of the day PFC needs way more good contract news to shore up the recent dramatic rise, otherwise confidence could start to slip and i think that is why we have seen a slight increase in short positions. Surely, you would hope that PFC's lawyer could now make the argument that it has been over a year now and they clearly have not found anything worthy of progressing either the investigation or the case. I appreciate that these things can be protracted but you have to ask if this is now a wilful act regarding 'other interests'

wiggy - To be honest, I think the sting feels like it is easing on the DRC thing now and in a way the SFO might unknowingly force these guys around a table and create some form of allegiance that could see some of the recent issues resolved quickly. Although getting a little fed up saying this, a good upbeat RNS could see this fly past 400 now that the worst of the drop is over. I think the SFO must have a difficult sell on their hands and they have to be careful what they throw resources at.

JFT - I think there could be a number of factors here. Firstly, the AGM was hardly groundbreaking, the situation in Iraq is 'interesting' to say the least and also, we are coming up to a year since the SFO opened the investigation, perhaps there is a little unease as there is a chance the SFO could celebrate the anniversary in a less than favourable way. Difficult to tell but it doesn't seem to take a lot to make people nervous with this stock. That said, it does seem to be holding in this range.

takeapunt - I think the shock drop has already happened to be honest. As per previous post, Wood Group has an SFO issue last year and only dropped around 4%. They would have to have a pretty water tight case against Glenda as all the key players are domiciled abroad and will not playball easily, if opened it could go on for years, PFC haven't even been charged yet after a year. So it's unlikely to have much of a further impact. Anyone selling out will have sold out by now, they have had enough warning. So I think this is likely to head towards the late 380s later today as the US futures are looking very strong at the moment. Keep in mind also the Dividend re-investment will also take place this week. That always brings an uplift and the possibility of a Special Div is always there.

Hopefully the drop is temporary and the market focusses on the positives to get this stock back on track. Worth pointing out that Wood Group only dropped only 4% on their SFO nod last year.
