Not going to get a dividend now. The purchase has put that notion to bed.

Pretty sure the debt level will have increased too (new loan arrangements kicked in June).

Anything less than absolutely sensational numbers will see this tumbling. I'm not even trying to deramp here but just trying to concentrate on the facts.

Whilst the board cream off the cash and allow debt levels to pesist and buying borderline feasible projects without the requisite funding, this is likely to go only one way.

To be honest, I just hope RIO step in and just buy them out.

Pretty clear that the markets are starting to absorb the Tariff War rhetoric.

Every time there is a break out on the Asian or European markets, Trump starts tweeting tariff threats from the whitehouse bog again.

People are starting to see the trend and it feels like Trumps' 'Art of the Deal' tactics , which worked on North Korea, are having little effect on China, who own a huge wedge of US assets.

Ivan tried to explain that the tariff war hasn't affected them but the SP dropped 50 thereabouts before the DoJ shambles kicked in.

Also, there is little incentive to increase the SP as they seem to be set on a campaign of 'buy backs' .

Share buy backs has only taken advantage of the DoJ drop which is pretty poor.

They had a really opportunity with that call and report to get things moving again and they stuttered through.

A special dividend with a short time span would have pushed this stock like a rocket off the back of these numbers.

A buyback, as you say, only benefits the company and not the investor in any meaningful way.

IO - Thanks. I think this selling has been way overdone to be honest. I think it should be back to around 340/50 to be honest.

Hopefully an upbeat call will lift the price.

The buyback ended yesterday (at the least the first tranche of 3)

Tucson - To be honest KAZ faded this afternoon even when copper held up.

I suspect someone pumped this on the relative low volume. I think without any clarification in the next few days that this will become trend.

Some encouraging buying but it's a long way from home and would suspect this to dip below 600 again before any recovery begins.
