RE: What £7 come Feb 2025 looks like11 Aug 2023 08:44
Svend it has recovered, RR was dropping like a stone pre covid.
then they sold off a lot so the market CAP will be smaller than say 10 years a go, and todays price is higher than the pre covid price. that's why, the stock has recovered and it took a long time ! there are many shares in the FTSE 250 below pre covid prices still.
SMR are a strange one, they take 10 years to even arrive and the pre costs are billions to RR. and we know the UK GOv is in bed with France.
lets then bring in the so called 2024 recession and then less flying hours in 2024.
talk of £7 is daft imho. the markets mostly look 12 months ahead, they have a good set of results now we are in the long game again, the SP has recovered imho. the new engine need less service time thats how RR make the main money in flying hours , that's no good if it cost less to service the new ones. swapping out just 1000 units is a very small figure from RR market Cap. lets aslo not foegt the SMR are so expensive to build inc Rand D that RR have to borrow money at todays higher inflation rates and a 3rd company might be set up anyway to do this which won't even effect the RR SP as we would have to invest in their new company looking after SMR's
