Just when you thought things were coming to a conclusion and you could settle down to just watching you have to start to realise that you need to reconfigure, re-establish and reconcile your whole conception of the future chance of making big bucks (or just a retirement fund) with shares - but where else is there.

I think the markets over-reacted from Feb 21st and this was not the general holders that caused this - it was the moneymakers - what a good way to increase their turnover - close the spread - wait and watch - I remember a post where I thought the spread was small - now I know why.

I know a lot of you have been "Caught" it would be interesting to see how many rode the mm storm and survived to continue the journey - I certainly did not get caught but I know some have bills to pay and were hoping for a "Slice" - some clever ones probably got it - but reduced their holdings for the "BIG" one.

I apologise if any of my previous posts encouraged anybody to "Stretch" there holding beyond their means but everybody please do your own research and I hope it will all come good.

Very good posts lee & H5o, how to follow was my greatest challenge so far on this epic voyage, but I hope the following highlights some of my thoughts:-

Battles are not won by Leaders telling the troops they will die - they are won by instilling in the troops a sense of challenge to maintain a good, comfortable future for their loved ones.

Reinforce your trenches, keep alert and remember you are not alone.

I often listen to Sir Winston Churchills' speeches - They are a source of encouragement through a lot of my "down days" and I also have my old school motto and motif to refer to when I am in one of my darkest hours - they are UNDAUNTED and the motif is the Phoenix rising from the ashes.

That said we are in a very interesting phase atm - suppose:-

a) There is the announcement soon - and it is satisfactory.

b) There is a serious move towards Gold and MTL have a slice.

c) The Coronavirus is contained soon

Hello All,

The task before the company is to secure the long term future, I for one do not want a "Quick" answer.

They have several Items on the agenda:-

a) Plant maintenance and developement.
b) Scale of operations.
c) Future Gold price.
d) Ecological ramifications.
e) Infrastructure to maintain developement.
f) Welfare.
g) Shipping costs.

But to name a few, I hope you get the picture as I see it.

Not the sort of message I would have hoped to put on this board but it may put it all in perspective.

I am down,over the last 2 weeks" £80k on my holdings of 20+, But atm it is only "Loss of Profit" I am sure, and I hope to a lot of you it is also a LOP - atm.

All I can say is I am sure the Sun WILL come out, Eventually.

Hello all,

I am presently monitoring 76 stocks - only 20 in my portfolio. Most have gone down Today. Only 2 have had an increase.

I have my ear to the ground and can hear Distant Rumblings that portend an imminent disaster - If it is a sunami we are in a boat on a distant Ocean - Hopefully we will ride the "WAVE".

Make sure you have provisions and keep dry- the Storm will soon be over and the Sun will come out.

p.s. Don't ask me how I have my ear to the ground on a boat!!!!

Hello all,

The rise today on my total holdings covered the extra I put in this morning, this is a strange world and I am beginning to like it.

Sipp has been fed, Isa is showing a very good return and can't wait until next years Isa allowance - wiill move some from Day trading in April.

Dips and Spikes is proving it's value, I hope all of you are as lucky - but I have been in this game on & off for 16 years now so if I have not learnt anything then it is certainly not down to bad share discussions on this board - thank you all.

May the wind be behind us and the horizon ahead - anyone like to guess what is over the horizon???

Quiet but optimistic - possibly 1.5 by the end of the week so putting my money where my mouth is I HAVE GONE FOR ANOTHER £5K.

Just trying to decide if this is another case of the "Mary Celeste" or whether "Bounty" might be an appropriate.

We have one single piece of the puzzle to wait for - why is there no anticipational furore - I suppose Monday may be a "little" bit livelier.

Hello all,

I never thought I would "play" the market but having sold some @ 1.5 and being able to "buy back" @ 1.245 the temptation was too much for me.

I speculated on 10% of my holding and moved it to a SIPP via sells and buys, and hopefully got the "Dips & Spikes" right, Time will tell.

Good luck all ( still in for just under 10M) will top- up (360,000 short of 10m) as D&S allows.

I am not leaving the Ship - just moving my "Bounty" around - talking of ships isn't there a story about the Bounty.

Spread on MTL normally in double figures - my take is that they want to move some stock.

Could be wrong but not many trades so far.

Think of it as a tunnel - it is dark - and travelling to the unknown.

There will be escape ladders on the way - you can use these if inclined - but you have to pay for it ( and you lose your ticket).

You have a comfortable bed to sleep on, food and water - the ship is waiting.

I accept your comment, But just suppose the major shareholders hearts are in the same frame of mind as DBs', to make this a World Class Mine . They surely can see the benefit of having a tradeable stock, with possible Dividends and all the long term benefits that this will bring.

My take on the share price is a natural regression - it is not the end of it as a valuable asset - it has (and needs) Time to RUN.
