Many funds and investors have been struggling as many valuations are massively down. Many will have to sell due to their MO once a certain value is realised.

Anyway, who knows for definite but here’s hoping for more good news this week.

Right, 15p?! Seems very odd setting such a low target given where the share price is now but also given the relatively recent raise was at the same price.

I’m sure both PLCs will have positive post YE commentaries to accompany their FY19 results RNS. Lots of upside for both.

Most results are delayed due to Covid 19 and not having auditors on-site etc so I would assume the same will apply here. I’d bet end of June but yeah some post YE commentary is a must!

They needed cash desperately and the placing Discussions would have started in December if not before and before the Chinese realised there was a major issue. The WHO only announced on 30 Jan there could be a major worldwide issue so no they would not have realised their tech would be in the spotlight due to Covid.

If we can get ours launched in the summer, hopefully end of June or early July and get it mass produced with a few partners worldwide by the time any others are launched the balance sheet will be looking tremendous. In addition given the reliance on PCRs I’m sure the lab test will be a hit too and expect some deals announced on that next week too.

Maybe other cos will launch other products but I believe a vaccine is many months away and even more so being readily available. Profit is profit though but I’d always leave some in!

There’ll be a vote and the BoD will recommend either way but they’ll need over 50% of the authorised shares to say yay or nay.

The Affimer reagents have also now been studied further by Avacta and, importantly, this has shown that there are Affimer reagents that can work in pairs, both binding to the spike protein at the same time. This allows tests to be developed that detect both the intact virus particle and the detached spike proteins which become separated from the virus particle during the development of the COVID-19 disease, which may also be important in monitoring disease progression.

AVCT has a superb platform that’s IP protected and has a huge number of applications not even being looked at due to spinning plates.

Impressed with 2m tests sold in a month? How many have been delivered, an order doesn’t mean it’s been fulfilled. Anyway, some circa £20m from ROW in a month (99 countries) isn’t great. Any views on the below?

On 30 March they had £17.8m in sales/orders and seemed to be delivering £1m/day in them albeit over a short period.

The next update was a month later, 29 April and was £90m but this included the great PHE contract of 288k tests per week for 6 months and some forward Cambridge uni tests. At just £7/test the PHE contract would deliver £52.416m so they only got some £20m in orders for the month on which should been a manic month so some 2m tests. By the time they get to 10m tests there’ll be a more competition with GDR, AVCT et al for lab tests and if the POC test works lab tests will be a poor relation. Hence ABN have apparently sold and who can blame them.
