A Norwegian series created in 2015 and adapted since in France, Italy, Germany and Spain, SKAM follows the daily life of several high school students and deals, each season, with an issue linked to this very special period of adolescence. Advertiser SHEIN, an international online clothing sales platform for Millennials, has chosen the next-generation product placement developed by British start-up Mirriad and will be present throughout Season 7. Mirriad has developed an augmented reality process that allows SHEIN to integrate its brand naturally into SKAM episodes in post-production in a supportive and consistent manner. Thus, the brand will appear as a poster in outdoor scenes and as shopping bags in indoor scenes. A true phenomenon among Millennials, SKAM has accumulated more than 5.7 million videos viewed over seasons 5 and 6.
Shein has 19 million followers on Facebook, Asos has 6.9 million and Next has 2.8 million for comparison.
