The Iran vs Israel current conflict is generally dated back from 1979, after the Iranian Revolution. Prior to that, Iran and Israel actually had friendly relations.

After 1979, Iran’s new government became openly hostile to Israel and cut all ties.

Let us not forget.. Years ago. Iran agreed not to enrich uranium above a certain % which was for medical & industrial purposes... Then they have been found to have a large quantity enriched uranium to circa 60%.. getting very close to nuclear weapon requirements..

Iran etc.. have been at the centre of so much 5h1t for as long as I can remember & that's decades... if they ever got hold of that type of weapon then the strait being open or closed wouldn't matter one bit. We have to look at the bigger picture.

It is only mandatory for companies listed on the ASX (Australian) & the NZX (New Zealand) exchanges.

If that's the actual list of the ten point plan.. I can't see that acceptance of any of those would be considered acceptable... It's as much stating that Iran has won the battle and the US is a beaten dog put back in its kennel..

I guess this last minute peace deal is all thanks to Starmer...

So from my understanding.. The result of this peace agreement is that all tankers can have safe passage through the Strait just as long as it funds $2m towards terrorism.. Is it me.. but I don't see this as a great victory of long-term peace & harmony!!

Trump & Co spout that it's going well & indicated that it's on schedule for completion within a 4~6 weeks period.. which I might add, we are only hearing about now after financial pressures... The markets rally quickly on any positive news (e.g., peace talks).

Trump saying to other western nations... deal with the oil issue yourselves & is not bothered about the strait of Hormuz being open or closed.. It's a bit of a 5hit show with the strait.. Iran are controlling the strait & are going to impose sovereignty, as they already have done.. allowing certain ships through for China, India etc..
