You need to take a balanced look at Winnifrith's record. He is a very poor share picker (some of his gems include Stanley Gibbons, which he tipped when it was 110p, and Fox Marble, tipped at 18p) but he has exposed a good deal of dodgy practice on AIM, and also 'outed' Woodford after a persistent campaign. He has it in for certain companies he doesn't understand (e.g. Eden) and who have previously sailed close to the wind to stay afloat, despite have incredible IP (which he is too lazy to appreciate). So he shouldn't be entirely discounted, but he largely spouts controversial rubbish to attract folk to his subscription service aimed at misanthropic introverts, who like a drink or three.

drop today because the market thinks a director buy means the resource upgrade will take longer than expected. Good buying opportunity at the price he got in....

model is certainly not like ARM! but then even ARM had its shaky early phases of losses and mistakes (I was in it so I know), and OPTI so far has been laying the groundwork for future revenue,. If you want a fast buck you are in the wrong place. HOWEVER, there now are clear signs that the revenue will be significantly ahead next year, and SBTX are due their defining moment during 2021, so we can expect the value of OPTI's holding to more than double. Even without the potential for opti to get involved in the anti-obesity drive, I can see a 40% rise in the SP by this time next year. Not ARM, but worth a punt for sure.

agreed - things have not been super-slick but the bolts are all strong, and in the right place. My feeling is this will be above £2 within a year, so I'm definitely buying when I can at this price - 15% lower than major US investors paid. (and they stated they wanted 10x return!)

despite the doom mongers on here, Eden continue to expand the range of their ground-breaking product, and this announcement is a biggie in terms of future revenue. Whether the share price will respond powerfully is another question....
