RE: RE: WHO YOU VOTING? IM VOTING VONK12 Jan 2019 19:50
Pdub, I fully agree with your 18.35 post.
However, what I would add is that every man is innocent until proven guilty.
If the BoD are aware of any wrong doing by JTP then at the earliest opportunity, they should make that information available to all shareholders. From Vonk's point of view, I personally would not be in any hurry to arrange an EGM even though the short term SP has been severely affected. That's old news now and like it or not, is now water under the bridge. Why should Vonk arrange an EGM to suit JTP's agenda? Vonk is Chairman and in the driving seat not JTP.
The way that I see it is that any good news from Brockham will immediately be reflected in the SP. Any bad news is likely to point the finger at JTP who is after all, Angus's Operations Director who is responsible for progressing all the Company's oil & gas operations. No doubt, a win, win for Vonk as it stands.
As for the company's progression so far, it is very clear that we have not progressed as well as we should have but IMHO, many of our misdoings are not PV's fault. Indeed, no one outside of the company (including DL) is fully aware of the day to day problems that PV may have had to face. I believe that they have been summed up quite recently by Alan2017.
Should the BoD choose to remain silent and not point the finger at JTP or in fact dismiss all charges, then the big question is, could JTP (as our new Chairman/or not) ever be trusted again?
Having previously held shares in Afren and GKP, it's easy for me to see a potential downfall here when so called experts are brought into the fold - mates! As it stands, my share votes go to Vonk with a strong warning caveat firmly attached.
