FWIW, it looks to me as if they have tried to stimulate the well by using Nitrogen. The well may have flowed small amounts of oil but has not come up to expectations. They have decided to try something different now (???) to aid the flow and have partially cleared the area around the well head to bring in new equipment/methods.
Until we have clear notification of what has really happened at Brockham, I can only assume that the BoD were in possession of the indicated poor flow rate before Xmas. They may have chosen to stand down for the Xmas period to have a rethink (rod pump/CT etc) yet continue with the Nitrogen lift (post Xmas) in the hope that they could try to stimulate the well (yet again) to flow naturally.
The big questions are, what will the BoD do next and what method will be used to get this Brockham flowing?
The extra finance, boardroom spats, Vonk leaving, Rob Sheppard, SCC planning etc all form part of my theory.
