In layman's terms the way I see it is:

a. Argentina - appeals the SJ (which would mean that they would be required to post a very large bond).
b. Argentina - directly discusses/negotiates a deal with Burford (including a payment plan).
c. Argentina/Burford - both sides hire a Special Master (mediator) and start negotiations that will lead to a satisfactory outcome.
d. Argentina - refuses to pay or acknowledge the court/judgement.
e. We go back to the New York Southern District Court for further legal proceedings.
f. Burford - the trial court judgement is immediately enforceable (we begin seizing assets).
