Dele Alake > Minister of Solid Minerals, Federal Republic of Nigeria;
"During the mediation meeting with Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and representatives from Segilola Resources Operating Limited (SROL), I expressed my belief in nurturing a strong relationship between state governments and mining operators. That harmony is essential for attracting investment and elevating our nation's mining sector.
I encouraged both parties to resolve their ongoing dispute amicably. A cooperative atmosphere fosters industrial harmony and enhances the business climate, ultimately driving revenue growth and attracting foreign direct investment.
In response to the disagreement that led to the closure of SROL’s operations, I set up a committee. Based on their findings, I convened the mediation meeting to pursue a constructive resolution.
I'm pleased to report that, after our discussions, both sides are committed to ongoing dialogue to address any remaining issues.
We remain committed to cultivating a favourable investment climate, together, we can foster growth and development for all parties involved".
It looks like the Minister Of Solid Minerals wants an easy solution to the matter, also to promote more foreign investment in the state/country.
