What a lot of rubbish.

The 'market' for this stock is tiny. That in of itself is part of the issue and the BOD are doing nothing to rectify that situation. This leaves the stock open to manipulation. Yesterdays shananigans is the perfect example where algo trades have clearly been set up to drive the price lower. Either a short position has been built or its being manipulated so that a position can be built with something else in mind.

In a perverse way what has happened here this week gives me some hope that there may be some action soon. Almost better to have something happening rather than nothing. This company has an enviable asset and cash on its balance sheet with the ability to offer a reasonable yield and ongoing FCF. It has no debt so it can be loaded up with debt by a PE buyer. Difficult to imagine that the II's in here are not looking for a way to extract value from their investment. Given their average entry price is around 80p I would expect something to happen sooner rather than later if the current SP level persists

If everything is on track (beginning to doubt it) what the company needs to do is use the flexibility they have to start a buy back. At this price its a no brainer. Lets have the RNS tomorrow. So come on BOD, are you there to represent the best interests of all the owners of the company or err... not.

I agree. JPM must know exactly what’s going on. As broker the company they will be telling them who’s doing what. If the BOD has any spu** at all then they would be issuing the RNS right now.

In the last week there has been 0.2% of the companys share traded for around 250k and the market cap has dropped by 11m.

Thats exactly what they should be doing, buying back. If they believe in the value of the business why wouldn't they do this. They have the cash. Or at least they had the cash....

Last post on this as I’m aware I am behaving like a stuck record.

I think the market sees GEMD basically as a listed private company. A number of large holders who get value out of GEMD by other routes. Lesotho go gets social provision and taxes. Graff gets inside market knowledge and Elphick gets a nice package. So what’s the reason to buy? Company is run for others benefits and no change of a take out or management change to invigorate it.

I also find it interesting that average daily volume is PDL is at least 10 times here in GBP value. Despite their problems, a massive share overhang and the operational risks investors see more reason to buy there that here with GEMDs level of cash in the bank and dividends.

100 I agree with you and what you say is logical but the fact is all is known to the market and no one is interested. The SP is going down because there are no buyers. It seems to me only a massive stone with loads of media coverage or some type of corporate action is going to move this. Both of those things rely on factors outside of the companies control meanwhile they do nothing to stimulate the demand.

Why do you think it will re-rate? It's a genuine question.

Evidence so far is there is even less interest in this share than before Covid and despite their improved financial position that is no mean feat. Sadly I think the BOD here simply are unconcerned about the SP. It really is a most frustrating share to own.

Another positive sign. Talent would not join Shield if they thought the future looked uncertain. Presumably coming with the prospect of options that are attractive given the company’s position.

If you check out the P/E on a TTM basis Lookers is at 3 (I'm rounding), PDG is at 5, MMH is at 4 and VTU is at 12. The Sp performance of each on a 12 moths basis is pretty much inline with each other when rebased. So my conclusion is the market takes no account of forward earnings potential of any other than VTU. Not sure what the story is with VTU earnings, maybe a glitch in my numbers.

I think this has the possibility to double over the next 12 months although probably not until new car deliveries start to pick up.

Accrufer is finally on sale. The sales team are out there right now. The drug works and has clear benefits over the alternatives. The market is huge. The CEO has experience in bringing a new drug in the same field to market and then selling the business.
It’s a question of time. Either STX will make it work or someone else will or maybe both.

What we have now is classic PI selling on nerves because there has been no RNS for 2 weeks or boredom. Be patient. If you can’t see past a Hardman investor pitch and think about where this can be in 1 or 2 years for, now then this share isn’t for you.

As someone mentioned earlier, Vontobel seem to be selling at any cost and or prepared to accept that their average price they receive will be driven lower by their selling strategy. It seems a dumb way to go about it as if they waited their average price would rise given the amount of buying. Maybe they have the office trainee on the case!

Actually I was making a different point regarding the CEO of a plc ramping, I don't disagree if there is a farm down that news would indeed be positive. If TLW are in the process of negotiating it is anyones guess as to how long that could take.

Where in the RNS does it mention farm down in Orinduik? We are speculating.
