After hours trades reported today explaining the drop. Someones unloading...

We are lowly pi's so Im not sure they really care but if I were Aberforth or Lansdowne or SC for that matter I would be well hacked off here, (particularly Aberforth who topped up by 1% a few weeks back). I cant believe they are not making their feelings clear to the Chairman.

I'm wondering if this is being held back in preparation for an offer.

Aberforth topped up at higher levels than this in the last 3 months. SC have no changes TR1 for best part of a year. And all the other big investors are hanging around or have added and all all are at average prices 20p north of the current SP. Yet with more cash in the bank, resumption of divi and no debt the SP continues to fall.

Over the past days I have been watching the actual buy/sells and comparing with the quoted prices with dummy buys. Its clear that the many of the indicated sells are in fact buys. Yet the price is static or falling.

So 2 possible scenarios. MMs are dripping in previous sell orders from substantial but non noticeable holders or someone wants the average price held back for another reason. I don't think bored PI's are the driver here. Not enough trades.

Just a bit of daydreaming on my part I admit but its not impossible. The long term outlook for prices and the strength on GEMD's main asset is a big value mis-match. Eventually if the market does not re-rate it surely someone will come in, perhaps even take it private?

I get you point on efficiency however fast and hard would be my way. Try to grab the land while there is an opportunity. Additionally the more noise they make the more the product becomes known in the industry and thus more exposure to a potential purchaser.

If Accrufer is successful then STX will get taken out. There is no way that one of their bigger competitors will let them grow. Question is what the current shareholders would see as fair value and that depends on the success and speed of the launch, so a bit circular. AOP and Inventages will already have in mind an acceptable exit price. Around 200p per share would be my guess.

What we don't have a handle on is the number of large but reported stones the have found. If I recall correctly they don't report 100cts or less. So overall product mix and thus revenue will be the surprise of the update.

Given the market dynamic and the unrealised value in this company assets then one would have thought a bid would come bu as we discussed before the share register seems solid. `I also think there is probably an implicit veto held by the Lesotho government. Not sure they would want a De Beers or BHP as the operators as they would no doubt be rather more results oriented.

Anyway this trading update needs to be special. YoY comparisons should look out of the park and Q on Q should be the same with the big rocks.

I know I'm PI projecting but this surely has multi bagger potential from here. The goals STX has set itself or at least the ramp up and Hardmann paid for research communicated externally seem very very cautious. I understand why but the flip side is if they come in over the next year better than expected we should see a significant move up.

One thing I have been thinking is if the cost /number of the sales team is enough. For the above story to fit together they need to be penetrating the market hard and fast. I doubt whether this is possible with only 30 reps.

If you are right we would have seen the TR1 surely form either Aberforth or SC.

From what I could see most of the indicated seems were buys today. Dummy buy orders priced at the indicated sell price.

16 trades at time of writing. Market knows prices are high but still no interest. V strange..

What I don't get is why the BOD arnt trying to stimulate more demand.

When he says something the opposite happens.

Either an offer is being filled or someone is unloading. Most likely the latter. PIs who have bought in higher selling lower.

Difficult to watch this drift but frankly it was inevitable after the CEO appointment has been made.

Small cap, no news, shaky stock market equals lower SP. on the other hand, if and when good news comes, small cap, low liquidity= equals SP explosion.

Buy high sell low or the other way around. You choose!

If Accrufer works its a stick on they would list on NASDAQ. Why wouldn't they? Comapnt=y would have the majority of its business in the US, a US CEO and organisationally US weighted, plus they would achieve a far higher valuation. Its a no brainer.

Why do you see it as a risk? I see it as an opportunity to get more for my shares!

Its very hard but I'm trying to look through this and see the following

Product now on sale in the US. Sales team hired.
New CEO who's CV looks to show that he has the chops for the job
2 New NEDs with relevant experience not the board.
Cash raising complete with funds till the end of next year.
Strong patent

If you believe that's enough then hold on.

If Hoskings are selling down, this could drop substantially I’m afraid.

IMO I'd rather they said nothing than something about nothing. Empty RNS alerts are a disease on AIM and STX has had a bout of it in its time. Let's give the new team time to appraise the situation and develop their plans.

I would expect to see inside his first 100 days, so end Aug or thereabouts, some strategy update. The new CEO will for sure want to change things, make a new plan and take ownership of any commitments in terms of numbers.
