@Taverham most companies fail and AIM has a very high failure rate. Even good boards make bad decsions.

Both tenements are old gold mines. Mine deposits were mined for nuggets, not fine gold that we are looking for. Both have exceptional samples and both highly likely have lots of fine gold. I believe F L I N N will find the gold but we will have to wait. Your logic about difficulty producing the MRE is overblown. We are drilling hundreds of meters deep in the patterson looking for targets. Here a JCB could hit bedrock. Like all surveys it will have challengers but not as great as the Patterson.

If they do find 500kozs that means they have $2.5 billion worth of gold. RIO we have given 30% if we find any gold. For Tasmania it gives us $750 million of gold.

For GGP the best part from this is that Newmount will continue to develop Havieron. I can not see them pulling out. When we reach the ore body GGP is a company generating revenue. A totally different beast.

Lets see what F L I N N find. They may be small tenements but firming up the Tasmanian MRE was such a cheap and simple project. A MRE of 100kozs would pay for the MRE. Both sites had gold, in the middle of gold fields. 500koz find could be sold for a $100 million. The money could have spring boarded GGP. Bad decision.

The US economy is 30 odd trillion. That equates to roughly 10% of its gdp. Which very roughly means approx 10% inflation. Sadly this stupidity is good for gold,

Bamps, you keep saying that. It will be easeir than Havieron. Who said mine it, With a firmed up MRE we could sell it to Fl I NN for 50 million.

And Shaun gave it away, Madness. So quick and cheap to survey, It could have been completed by now.

We are suppose to do the exploring. If it has 500kozs that is GGP funded with no need for borrowing, If it has 100kozs that is more than enough to pay the exploration costs. You can sell a 100koz MRE for a few million. These tenenments have very good gold samples. They have very good history of gold found in the area, including gold found on both tenements. We shall see what F L I N N find.

Tasmania may be small but is very likely to have gold. It is shallow, easy to access, cheap to survey. The few million to survey could be funded by a small find of a 100kozs of gold. If it has 500kozs of gold it could fund the entire Havieron project. This is one of the dumbest decisions that GGP have done. We are suppose to be an exploration company. If F L I N N find 500koz Shaun should step down.

For a lower Tier miner like Wyloo it could be a good deal. They may be able to extract gold at a much lower cost than Newmount.

I do. I do not believe anyone will pay 100s of millions for Telfer like Charles think. Acechaser how much money is Telfer making?

Charles is not very smart. The price for Havieron and Telfer is what someone is willing to pay for it. Who would pay 100s of millions for Telfer plus the cost of closing it down. Maybe a dollar to take it off Newmounts hands as long as the new buyer pays to clean up the site when it shuts.

For me gold is like Nuclear weapons. It is there for those times when it all goes pear shaped. WW3 for instance.. A time when paper money is worthless. It sits there waiting for that day. In those times it is life and death. Sadly this country and the west is ruled by fools.
