How advanced is Blackhills?

Just explaining the contract means they can walk. They will have extracted $4/5 billion of gold so they will still be better off. Why they would walk when the other grades are higher than anything they are escavating at Telfa would need serious explanation to the Newcrest shareholders. They will also have a site that is prepared and has all the regulatory approvals for mining. It will not happen.

Newcrest are targeting the high grade section. It is worth 4/5 billion. They will still make money and so do we. They could decide that is all they will do at Havieron. Personally I find it hard to believe they will walk away unless costings for continuing are really bad.

DRC Large parts of the world are becoming out of bounds. West Africa will soon be impossible, East Africa is also having issues. Most of Africa will be unsafe. Mines in safe places will be priced at a premium.

Iron, looking at this area most anomalies, Telfer, Wishbone and many others seem to have a similar geology. Is iron common among the other sites?

Reading up on the EM survey equipment it seems geologists can gather lots of information about the underlying geology. What other materials could give a large EM field other than metals. I am guessing water is one.

Money is starting to move

Does this mean that the first contact with the Rock face is when we can start mining for gold or do we have to wait for the entire helix to be bored? I think I know the answer.

Starting to get a picture in my mind of how they will mine for gold. The rock is vertical so they will bore a helix tunnel that meets this vertical rock at several points. Call it the rock face. Bamps keeps talking about Herieron being vertical means less wastage. I am starting to understand what he means.

@Bamps could you point me to the three drill results for Goliath. Did these drill results go OK. Trying to find out more about Goliath as that is the next prospect coming up.

Strange, reading wikipedia so it may be wrong: Example allowing a builder the full amount of time to build a house. Only if the house is not completed by then full term can the contract be voided. May mean that Newcrest will be allowed the full contract period before the contract is voided. May be totally wrong.

If Goliath has the same mineralization as Havieron it will automatically be a Tier 1 mine. We have the Gravity field overlayed with the EM field. Showing a large mass with the EM indicating large amount of possibly metal. Gold/Copper fingers crossed. Havieron has similar mineralization to Telfer so it is not to much of a stretch to predict Goliath will be similar.
From the EM survey could you get any indication of amount of metal?

I disagree. Looking at the guidelines for a Tier 1 mine by Newcrest we can determine a market capitalization for a Minimum Tier 1 mine. A 30% share works out about £1 billion or a SP of 24p, strange coincidence. To roughly estimate the capitalization of a mine multiply its revenue by 15. When the PFS is announced Newcrest will release their revenue estimates. The market will use these to calculate the value of GGP. It is a finger in the wind but better than dreams.

I created this thread to value Havieron. At the end of the day all that matters is the SP. Personally, I believe Havieron is a Tier 1 mine. I expect Havieron will be producing 500koz with ASIC < $400.

What SP would a mine like that give us?

I saw a twitter post by you retweeting these Newcrest values. They are Newcrests values for a Tier 1 mine, To be an absolute minimum Tier 1 mine we must meet production 300k min with max costs $800. For me this sets GGP SP bottom limit.

Like Cadia, $160, 75% of Newcrests revenue. The numbers are to give a bit of substance to estimates. See some saying sp £2. Is that realistic. Maybe, need to see Newcrests production estimates in the PFS. These figures will give me a quick finger in the air idea of GGP value.
