Afternoon all,
Excellent RNS, with a well balanced approach to getting us into Revenue generation as early as possible. I also like the objective to increase salt by-product credits as soon as, making the project self financing to some extent. Also taking advantage of potentially leveraging the use of the OCP/Safi H2So4 facilities to produce added value SOP products for market. Would still like to see either OCP or another strategic investor on board, but at least GC is hinting at 2021 start to construction, which may well be aimed at getting into market before or alongside Highfield Resources' Spanish project. Good news flow ahead in the coming months I think.
Morning westie, thanks for that info, I hadn't realized that. My guess for what it's worth, is that the Equity portion is likely to be an array of "interested parties", with hopefully some portion allocated for PI participation. Looking forward to the technical aspects of the anticipated SOP feasibility study , I am sure that this will generate even more interest in this Project from an investors point of view.
Afternoon all,
Excellent news about the early approval of the Mining Permit. I've been having a look at OCP/Phosboucraa as possible strategic investors and I have to say, very impressed with what I've read. OCP obviously committed to providing sufficient funds ( U$ 2.2Bn ), to allow its Phosboucraa operation to develop in that Region, mining & processing eqpt,Storage, acid plants, wharf etc. They also have a requirement internally for Potash, so I can imagine a good fit with EML as a Partner/Investor. They could also support our development of SOP in the future. In his recent interview, GC indicated that they would expect the usual 2/3 : 1/3 debt/equity funding of Plant/Mine, so on that basis, the Company would need to raise approx $135M via equity ( investors/offtakes/Royalties). To have a major Fertilizer Producer on board would be a significant boost to the Project, but I guess at the speed our BOD are progressing, we shouldn't have to wait long to find out.
Afternoon all, I agree with the sentiments here. The quality and potential of our portfolio particuarly the "hot resources" as Cacher refers to them needs better PR exposure , and I share Sam's concerns about a delivery/aspiration disconnect perception in the market. I hope we produce a good Q4 report this month, and I hope JT can find other near term assets in EV/energy storage/fertiliser resource sectors. I'm staying in APF for the long term hopefully, but recently I've added a couple in these categories to my own portfolio as a hedge along with my goldies.
Thanks for the welcome, as a former Sirius investor, I was pleased to see Graham Clarke's involvement with the Company. His CV is perfect for us and in the past he has handled his roles very professionally, so looking forward to his contributions in the future. I also like the potential for future SOP production, which should add value to the portfolio. All in all I believe this Company has great potential in the next 2-3 years to add value for us all.
Afternoon all,
An interesting video on inflation calculations in the US ( George Gammon ), with thanks to Zeratul on the PUR Board :-

Hope it's of some interest.
Morning all,
Agree albus the recent further investment in Brazilian Nickel imo is money well spent. The timescale for the PNP1000 Phase to increase production to approx 1400tpa Ni & 35tpa Co contained in Nickel/Cobalt Hydroxide intermediate Product is :-
Jan21 start upgrade of existing Pilot Plant
May 21 Start mining Ore
Nov21 Finish construction of enhanced Plant
Mar22 Production of first Ni/Co hydroxides.
As I understand it, once completed, they then commence the procedures to develop further capacity to 25000tpa Ni production ( proposed full scale Plant), targeting completion by Q1 2024.
I hope everyone has a safe and prosperous New Year.
Morning all, Thanks for the link Banger, I found it very informative, so if you don't mind I'll post it on my other Gold Stock BB.
I hope everyone has a safe and prosperous New Year.
Morning all, I have jut seen this on my other Gold stock bb, and thought t might be of interest :-

Morning all,
Interesting year ahead imo, I hope everyone here keeps safe and has a prosperous New Year, GLA.
afternoon all, I came onboard today as I've admired the development of this Company, and it fits nicely alongside my other Royalty stock. I agree Cacher, this looks like a terrific pipeline deal. I look forward to contributing here, once I'm up to speed on all things Trident.
Good afternoon lovelyboy,
Techmet are a Private Investment company, supporting projects that are on the US Govt. Department of Commerce " critical/strategic materials list", and Rare Earths are one of those. They provide finance ( backed by the US Govt. funding agency, and project development expertise in return for a royalty / equity in the company. As I understand it, they have agreed to co-operate on the downstream processing Feasability studies and project developments presumably at the Bosveld site. Their involvement at one of my other investments has been very positive in facilitating the ramping up of production to commercial levels. The ultimate objective being the removal of a reliance on Chinese supply of the Critical Metals, that will be required in the future.
The sales of Gakara " Concentrate " are all well and good, but from what I understand, these relatively un-refined products are sold at a large discount to spot rare earth metal prices in the market, whereas the further downstream processed Carbonates, sell at a premium to them ( typically 80% of spot price compared to 30% for concentrate ). The intention to install downstream MREC and /or individual Nd & Pr oxide production capabilities, will allow the Company to realize more of the value contained in the RE metal resource, and should allow it to supply directly to the Permanent Magnet manufacturers ( OEM's ), who will be at the forefront of the upcoming EV and green energy transitions in the next few years.
Hi NICKODEMUS,
It's worth noting that in the short-term the trial mining / processing at Gakara to produce Concentrate is the focus. Carbonate production in S Africa will follow, once a Feasability Study has been done and the existing plant is upgraded to a commercial production capability. So for the time being any revenue generated , will come from lower value sales through Thyssenkrupp. The timescales for the proposed developments, are outlined in the Companies 2020 report, which can be found on the website. A note of caution, this site is not https: secure?, and because of this, I do not use it.
Evening NICKODEMUS63,
We do have an offtake agreement for upto 10,000 tons per annum of concentrate with metals trader Thyssenkrupp, who send it to China for further processing before selling on. Currently China has the monopoly on Rare Earth Concentrate processing, but if we develop facilities to produce a REcarbonate downstream product, the potential for supplying a more sophistiated product into the market , reduces the need for Chinese involvement and increases product revenue ( 70% vs 30% of metal spot price ). Other non-Chinese processing facilities are in the pipeline over the next couple of years, which may reduce the processing dependence on China, but our tie-up with Bosveld could give us a processing route within those timescales.
Hi NICODEMUS63,
Sorry for any confusion, FS means Feasability Study ( Company's detailed financial and technical studies on a project). MREC stands for mixed rare earth carbonate, which is a more commercially viable form of rare earths supplied to the market for rare earth metals, than the less processed form "concentrate", intended from Barundi mining activities.
Afternoon doublewhopper,
The link up with Bosveld in S. Africa provides not only a secondary income source from the Gypsum tailings, but gets access to their defined and fully permitted processing flowsheet and pilot plant, which given a full feasability study, may well prove to be capable of development into a larger scale processing facility to deal with other feedstocks by converting them to Rare Earth Carbonate products. I hope this helps, but forgive any missed points as I'm still learning about this Company myself.
Good morning all,
Thank you for the link doublewhopper, it was in interesting read being a nerdy Chemical Engineer. Basically from what I've read, the processes are relatively straight forward ( with some process controls) in place, and should allow future processing of Gakara concentrates as well as the gypsum tailings, provided a future FS can demonstrate an economic justification for upgrading the existing pilot plant / flow sheet. The resulting MREC produced form both sources would appear to be financially beneficial to the Company.
Good afternoon all,
Thanks for the comprehensive reply Chinasyndrome, I entirely agree about Permitting in Tanz., they will likely be angling for a free-carry stake before agreement. I have looked at potential downstream links with OEM Permanent Magnet suppliers and I agree that location could well be decided by transport/shipping costs. Although originally from Merseyside myself, my work as a Chemical Engineer, lends me to favour an east coast location with respect to not only reagent supplies and logistics, but also the available smelting expertise and potential future "Freeport" status on Tees-side. This is why I thought it might be a "preferred" location for our processing plant. Whatever is decided, I would hope for a quick resolution, in order to get into production before the other Aussie developers. Am I right in thinking that Peak's option on the Tees-side land package expires in June next year?
Morning all, Thanks for the welcome Tornadotony, good to see SHG going well. I've been researching the RE space today and noticed that Peak Resources (ASX) have an option on a processing site on Teeside. Does anyone know if this has any consequences for our ambitions for a UK processing site, as this site is a prime location for such a project? I would appreciate any feedback as I try and gain a better understanding of this business.
