Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
It strikes me that some people think the Avacta SP will only really start a big move once the LFD news drops.
I disagree. The second the market hears the S&S figures for BAMS we will light a fuse that nobody will be able to extinguish.
Don’t get distracted.
I took screenshots of the site yesterday. The following text has been added in the last 24 hours:
“Under the terms of the agreement Medusa 19 is prohibited from selling any competing COVID-19 rapid antigen test.”
I also notice that the shop links are now dead. Looks like someone has stepped in to put a lid on things and provide investors some clarity.
It’s coming home.
Very very exciting times for holders. Not long to wait now.
Regarding the patent:
"Novarum holds patents in Europe, the US, China, Japan and Russia and we are also ISO 13485:2016 certified for Medical Device Quality Management Systems."
As for ISO27001, Novarum would have created the app to support compliance. I see reference to AES256 in their literature for example. They may even have a range of supporting documentation ready to go when SaturnPass Ltd go through certification. Alternatively, they could perhaps host and operate the solution on behalf of SaturnPass under an existing certification. The app could be deployed such that results are only stored locally on the phone initially which might have off the shelf certification given that no new systems are involved.
@Lovebug - Done. Good idea, thanks.
This one has been bouncing away on various threads. What is SaturnPass? How can it be patented and ISO27001 compliant? What does the website look so amateurish? I think we may have plausible answers to these questions now. All conjecture at this point but appears to hold some water.
What is Novarum? Novarum DX started as a joint venture with BBI Solutions. BBI bought Novarum out in 2016:

BBI Solutions - now where have we heard of them? :-)
This video provides some good information about the app. It looks highly customisable and importantly, BBI offer a service to customise and brand the app to a customer's specific requirement:

I also found a (3 year old) flyer here:

Clearly this is a mature app. This video is 6 years old:

As for the amateurish SaturnPass website, I suspect this is just a quick and dirty placeholder for a company that was only created 14 days ago:

Some will say this is 'just an app'. I disagree. For me the app is a game changer in its own right. The public will latch onto it straight away. We all love an app. Surely there is one to get rid of Covid right?
There is now.

Novarum LinkedIn post from 5 years ago. This is a mature app.

“After rigorous testing, our team will help you publish your fully branded app.”
Mic drop.
The video is a must watch. SaturnPass is this rebadged, surely.
Didn’t someone on here say SaturnPass would work with a QR code on each device? Oh yes, me! ;-)
Perhaps a plus point for the ‘Amateurs’ theory the Wiggly.
If they are amateurs we could all get a lovely opportunity for a cheap top-up. The test is nailed on though, make no mistake.
@JRDC Perhaps they have been working through ‘re-certification’ for weeks already and started with an iso27001 certified system that needed minimal modification for this purpose. Trying to think what else out there performs a similar role. Are there any other medical result tracking apps out there?
I can see some idiot putting iso27001 on the tin because they read it on the data centre marketing brochure but why claim a patent as well? Surely must be pre-existing?
I too have had experience of iso27001 and also of patents. Both take a lot of time to achieve. SaturnPass claims to have both. I see two possible explanations here:
1. Medusa19 are a bunch of amateurs spouting BS.
2. Medusa19 are working with a long established partner with existing tech that is patented and has iso27001 certification.
Either way, this won’t stop the Avacta test being a success and improving society (and our retirements). If it really is option 1, then the Avacta legal team will rip them a new one and they will simply find another partner. Queue would be around the block.
Having calmed down a bit, it is clear to me now that Medusa have two tests for sale. The header graphic text makes this clear:
"Partnering with Rapid Saliva Test manufacturers to bring a total solution to rebuilding confidence..."
Notice the plural on manufacturers. It is also easier to see on the desktop (as opposed to the phone) that the two things are each a different test as they are shown side by side. One is Avacta, the other is 'Medusa 19'.
You can only imagine than the 'Medusa 19' test must be an antibody test. This is why Avacta have allowed it to be sold alongside their Antigen test. The two are complimentary. If you add in the Saturn Pass app to these two tests you have an impressive set of tools at your disposal for addressing the virus.
This is a positive for Avacta. The test stands on it's own but also works well in tandem with an antibody test. Can only result in more sales. Makes Medusa19 a one-stop-shop. Every marketeers dream.
This is genuine. The whole thing. % figures may be placeholders but as a web developer you don’t use text like this unless it has been given to you:
“Comparable results with a PCR test for asymptomatic patients but without significant discomfort from throat and nasal swab and considerable delay in results.”
Your phone goes ‘ping’, it’s the RNS of your dreams.
Avacta Group plc (AIM: AVCT), the developer of Affimer® biotherapeutics and reagents, is pleased to announce...
What?
Best answer wins an all expenses paid* supper with AS at the Wetherby Whaler.
*Mushy peas carry a surcharge. Excluding China.
The Russian vaccine is a nonsense but regardless of this, redneck America could turn on the US administration for not having magicked a US vaccine into use already. “Even the Russians are doing better than us... etc.”
Trump will want to fire a retaliation shot and is currently scrabbling around to find one. Could we get an even more accelerated approval under the ‘JFAIA’ programme? (Just F****** Approve It Already)
As well as helping the planet and keeping shareholders happy, the price will need to be set at a level that regulates demand. If for example, we were to put the POC test out there at £2 a stick, the explosion in orders would be impossible to meet. AS will nail the pricing I’m sure. Will start high then come down through time as we grow more manufacturing capability.
