Hi Doublehun - I know you are not alone in being underwater with GGP and just want to say that you and others in your situation who are staying firm with GGP because you understand what we have here, I admire the most. I am in other shares where I am underwater (but GGP has been the overall saviour on my whole portfolio) and it is never nice. I am trying to do what I guess you are doing here and that is assessing the fundamentals and ignoring the current SP. I wish you all tremendous success with GGP (it enabled me to retire early and I still have much more invested waiting for the real returns to come) - you all deserve the rewards for being patient!!! VGLA true Greatlanders!!!

Lest we forget what Shaun was saying in his most recent interview I attach the extracts below which give me a real warm feeling inside that not only has Shaun counteracted the possibility of a lowball buy out bid, but he’s put a hugely competent BoD together and all with the vision to grow GGP for shareholders. Don’t take my word for it, read the following extracts from Dip’s hard work of annotating his interview word for word - thanks Dip - read and enjoy: -

Hi DH - you’re not wrong - I think a lot of emotion has just overflowed today as let’s be honest today could have gone very wrong if the Resolutions had not been voted in. But they were not just voted in they were supported emphatically and this really could be a hugely momentous day for GGP. So come on all true Greatlanders put away your swords (for now at least) pour yourself your favourite tipple and rejoice in the news that we are now fully funded to go mining on a Tier 1 Gold/Copper Mine in the best of jurisdictions and where the resources are still being drilled at depth and multi-directional and 30% of it is all ours plus we have other 100% owned tenements to uncover - what’s not to like? Sit back, relax, have a drink and we are all in it together (if you hold shares - if you don’t then stop posting on this Board and let true Greatlanders soak it all up because we definitely deserve all the good that is coming down (or is it up) the track!!!) I agree MFU and serves to strengthen the relationship between Shaun and his PI’s - he must surely be walking on air at the moment knowing he has won the emphatic support of his shareholders and dilutes the risk that he might have been more II orientated imho!!! McSquares - I agree the $ has to re rate and the Fed know that a strong $ against all currencies is good for awhile but not good long term for their exports (they are a huge exporter) or for tourism (which again is massive for them) - it’s just a matter of time imho!!!

I mentioned yesterday that I had pressed HL on what proof I would have that they had indeed executed my instructions to vote Yes on all 5 Resolutions (I had previously received an email confirming that my instructions had been received and would be acted upon - but was reticent that this was proof enough).
Anyway pleased to report back that I received the following email from HL this afternoon (redacted): -
Thank you for your enquiry and please accept my apologies for the delayed response.

I can confirm that your voting instruction to vote FOR ALL the 5 resolutions has been inputted. The crest reference DX402…….. is proof of confirmation that your vote has been submitted.

Hi MattyBoy - if I get a response from her after just chasing her up now, I will let you (et al) know.

Yorkguy - I think each broker are creating their own cut off point. GGP seemed to state that all votes had to be in by 48 hours before the GM on 7th Oct

Hi MattyBoy - I too received an email from Christine Keay at HL which is reassuring if she is dealing with a number of HL customer request for GGP. Because I asked for confirmation after it had been done she did say HL would email me again before 3rd Oct to confirm this - I’ve just chased her up on this now. Many thanks.

Hi Bellers - yes HL emailed me to say the same but can we trust them to do so - I did ask for a confirmation email after they had voted my instructions but not sure I will get one?

Just to add to the merriment, I’ve just realised that it is now inconceivable that any poster can come onto this Board to try to unnerve the weak with talks of a low-ball buy out offer. Shaun has negotiated our way past any possible NCM low offer as we have real financial clout with Twiggy behind us and he’s going to want a very decent return on his money. Plus we have 3 big hitters joining us who similarly will want max value on their share entitlements. Now look at MrEMC2’s YouTube link and all of a sudden it starts to click into place. I’m here to watch it all unfold and I can’t wait!!! VGLA true Greatlanders.
