I agree Saints - this is much more like it from our new CEO who is showing that in a very short space of time since he has taken the reins that he is covering off EVERY key aspect to running an outfit like GGP that he can (e.g. focusing on getting the drill bit going on our 100% owned tenements, improving Governance to attract more II’s, getting himself out more such as over to London plus increasing other marketing tactics, also considering offloading certain tenements in favour of focusing on production at Havieron and finalising PFS/FS requirements. Folk should take a moment to consider how much time and effort Shaun has expended to effectively manage all these aspects, because as he says these are the ones he can impact and the day to day SP should therefore follow. Hugely encouraged by his work ethic and commitment to shareholder value even if that means a buy out - he said it several times. Good luck all - we are in good hands imho!!!

DSmith - to apply humour to a topic as complex as gold exploration takes one hell of an intellect. Bamps has it and clearly you cannot get close to understanding it - it’s you I feel sorry for, not Bamps - he knows what he is talking about!!!

For goodness sake - Shaun Day is an Accountant by trade and a very impressive one at that - good enough for what he achieved at his previous place and good enough to get Gervaise ousted and himself appointed as CEO at GGP. Now I don’t know about you lot but Accountants are number crunchers/analysts/controllers generally and not known for “performing” in front of camera. All I care about is what Shaun achieves behind the scenes and this will be seen by all of us in due course. So cut him some slack, let him get on with his job and judge him again at the end of the year. Personally I think his talent will shine through and whilst he might sharpen up on presenting, that’s the last skill set I would have wanted from his appointment. Keep the faith peeps - you can’t unfind Gold!!!

I mentioned that I emailed “info@greatlandgold.com” last week for Shaun’s view on where the SP is in relation to previous highs (albeit pointing out that I knew he is not responsible for managing the day to day SP - just the Company). Here is the verbatim response: -
“To answer your question about the share price, we note the share price has increased around 60% in the last 12 months in comparison to our peer group of around 2% in the same period. We recognise there has been some volatility in the past 6 months, however the over outperformance reflects the ongoing exploration success at Havieron in conjunction with a potential rapid pathway to production.

The Havieron project continues to advance in a positive manner and consistently deliver outstanding results as per our recent update.

GGP is ramping up our exploration activities in the second half of this calendar year (in addition to the major and ongoing Havieron campaign). This is consistent with the broader strategy to create value through discovery of large Havieron style deposits and provides the opportunity for more frequent news flow.

Thank you for your ongoing support as a Greatland shareholder.”

Don’t know about you folks but a CEO who takes time to respond to genuine concerns/queries from PI’s gets my backing. I’m sure he cannot respond to everyone if he is bombarded with emails, but this response is timely in my opinion. I replied asking him to keep an eye on whether the Aim market delivers a fair reflection of GGP’s achievements - we shall see. Good luck all Greatlanders - we have a good man and BoD at the helm here imho!!!

Hi Speedy - thanks for your thoughts. Is it possible to contextualise this using say HSBC’s SP currently showing as 427.55 Versus GGP’s at 19.01 as to what impact would we possibly see on each SP if what you say comes to pass? I won’t hold you to it as we are merely hypothesising but it will give a greater feel as to what could happen due to a financial and social upheaval. Many thanks.

Hi Lebugue - not seeking to take credit for this but I sent an email for the attention of Shaun Day 2 days ago, asking whether without breaching regulations he could either respond to my email (for onward posting) or could put something on Twitter that could provide some reassurance to very patient lthers. I pointed out that his responsibilities lay in managing the Company, not the day to day SP but there was just an undertone of disquiet on the LSE Board that no explanation/reassurance was coming out of HQ whilst the SP has spiralled downwards. Not sure whether this is an attempt to fill that gap from HQ but it certainly doesn’t hurt and looks good. I for one am firmly behind Shaun and prepared to give him the rest of this year to prove progress is being made - onwards and upwards!!

Agreed Bertie but not much has made me laugh this year - I was in fits last year!! Onwards and upwards!!

Bertie - you seem to imply that our SP will only increase significantly when II’s invest - in which case will that be once the PFS is announced in September, or would II’s start piling in on some other catalyst?

In fairness Prof I thought you had worked out what our per oz value is according to our current SP. I was hoping Lenz is able to quote a value per oz according to current values of gold as that is what he seemed to be alluding to? Thanks both.

Hi Prof - I know you have but Lenz’s post at 16.19pm states the gold is worth much more than £195 per oz so I was questioning how much more??

Hi Lenz - can you advise how much per oz the gold is worth to us? We’ve had numerous guesses at how many millions of ozs we will have declared soon but not many that I can remember on per oz value. Thanks.

Thanks for summarising Jambo - didn’t want your point to be misunderstood or interpretations placed on it that you didn’t intend. I see Mark’s point and I believe that it is our diversification that will pump up what we already have at Hav - I hope other tenement results and/or improved Hav MRE will be announced shortly to get us back above the 30p point - VGLA - a wait worth waiting for!!
