I don't think the success or otherwise of Tesla will affect the success or otherwise of Byton or any other newcomer into the market. It's a growing market and looks likely to continue for some time and unless a company is so badly run it deserves to fail, it won't and will probably thrive. Elon Musk may be a genius but he's also very erratic, some of his actions /comments take the breathe away. Did you see his recent comments that Autopilot was safe to use (as in driverless) despite the number of incidences recently. Maybe Tesla and Musk will soon be mentioned in the same sentence only in the past tense?

Just as a company has to issue news regarding financially significant contract wins, a company would have to issue news regarding contract losses that are financially significant and as we know SEE likes nothing more than to issue bad news, repeatedly, and swiftly. I suppose it's possible one of SEE's other 6 (and counting?) Tier 1 partners may have taken the business from Veoneer, after all Tier 1's do compete and until we hear differently one would have to assume it's still business as usual for SEE, regardless of which Tier 1 is used.

Terry At present I don't think we have the resources to be all things to all men so maybe we wouldn't want to even try. Even our target market will probably require much larger resources than we have so either we grow exponentially and dramatically or we get gobbled up by a Titan! Either scenario is fine with me!

Two things to take from this, SEYE appear to have to price very competitively in order to win their larger orders, did Jungo and the like depress the price chargeable for the latest order, pointing to a battle at the bottom as Semicast hinted at and secondly and the 'market leader' is working with no more than three Tier 1's,probably 2, compared to SEEs 6. What does that say of the direction of travel?

Doing it on the cheap! @semicast_res Best guess Smart Eye DMS OEM DWs, using SE press releases & analyst opinion. Analysis suggests a major reliance on Aptiv as Tier 1. I can imagine the reaction when there is a crash at over 40mph due to over reliance on dodgy DMS! And even start ups need time. As far as I am aware, none of the numerous start ups has mastered driverless technology despite working at it for a number of years! Now, what else?
