I'm sure no such intention was inferred. My point was that it's sometimes the case that rank and file staff have an equal if not superior grasp of the matter in hand.
Maybe due to length of service or innate skills. I have seldom been impressed by company executives maybe because I tend to be hyper-critical. For example I said "flies not files" :-))
Maybe the demands of a large workforce strain the abilities of middle management. Certainly some individuals can stretch the patience of the best managers. Oh! to live in a perfect World.

You say "no punishment is justified" how then would you maintain order" what about "for every hour your late I will reduce your pay by one hours salary"

Just because someone is at the bottom of the pecking order doesn't mean they are mentally challenged in any way. Sometimes they quite simply choose to do what others consider beneath them. When you then get a manager promoted above his abilities all hell can break loose. I am not familiar with RMG management and can see how difficult it could be if you are correct in your assessment.

I have been told quite clearly that should I not learn the RMG acronyms the cat of 9 tails will be waiting. If I therefore arrive unprepared and have my shirt ripped to the waist. I can't say I'm being bullied because I was made aware in advance :-)

Mad. Employer bullying no, poor management yes. From an employee perspective it shouldn't be seen as bullying when someone gets severe punishment for something if it was known in advance what the punishment would be. From a management perspective it's poor management to make examples if historically the punishment has been less severe. The case should be that the anticipated punishment for a given act is well documented and anyone irrespective of status is dealt with in that way.

Mad. I have seen enough over a period to understand that your modus operandi is aggression.
It is very common to witness you attacking verbally. In this case you were goading that to my mind is a bullying tactic. If someone is not willing to give personal details it's their choice and a simple "no" should end the inquisition. Nothing personal I just see you in this light. Of course it's online so doesn't need more attention add long as we're all annonymous. Where that not the case it would be more serious and probably why people do not release information.

I understand in a vast organisation it is necessary to crack the whip sometimes although making an example seems unfair if that individual gets a harsher sentence than previous culprits in order to make an example. The punishments should after all be evenly distributed.
I'm sure for obvious reasons you have seen and heard far more than you are willing to share here.

Mad with the constant "tell me" reminds me of that scenario. Not that I have ever been bullied personally.

Well, that went well didn't it. Seems you won't need support at 850 feline. You can hold your own but wouldn't need to do so if your mates were in attendance.
Conclusion IMHO.
1. The individual that passed on the pension quote may have been incorrect. I did in fact think when reading that it was rather Draconian.
2. Mad was hell bent on confirming he's a bully and not the brightest penny.
3. I would never be pressured into giving personal information online.

The comment she made was from information she was given during a conversation so the is room for error. However if she reported it here in good faith it's acceptable if there is an error.

Quite a surprising comment. Maybe instead of a throw away accusation. Why not cite specific things that feline has stated enough you know to be incorrect.
My gut feeling you won't come out of this ahead.
