Aviva has unveiled plans to invest £10 billion in UK infrastructure and property over the next three years.
Housing, rail and green initiatives will be backed by the FTSE 100 insurer’s global asset management division on behalf of savers and investors, Amanda Blanc, its chief executive, announced at The Times CEO Summit.
She said the strategy, which will target everything from new student accommodation to renewable energy facilities, would help tackle the country’s “sizeable funding shortfall”.
