Shrewsbury, sounds to me like your shares are to be sold imminently at "best price achievable" and as such it's out of your hands unless you instruct otherwise.

Life is too short for added stress. I would give them 24 hours and then endeavour to sell yourself. I sold all IDS a while ago. knowing I could lose out but slept soundly since. Best of luck.

However I retired at 52 with the intention of utilising my assets before they gave up on me. The process is ongoing 😉

Well that's it everyone. I accepted 364.36 because I had a belly full.

I made a decent profit but more importantly I had loads of fun which is my preference.

Thank you all for your input and that means all. Whether we agreed or not it has been a blast.

I shall spend my remaining years finding fun ways to enjoy the funds.

I also considered the response to your post a bit OTT. Most here would see your original post as a desire to assist. However it's not unusual to encounter a bit of abuse here. Word to the wise is let most things be "water off a ducks back" NO point being "keyboard warriors"

Exactly my reasoning for selling up. However I'm not in any rush to buy more stock. Life is very peaceful when your pockets are full 😉

Not meant as advice, merely sharing my decision. I decided that life bring enough challenges without encouraging more.

The choice was hanging on and hoping for a better outcome. This inevitably would include a certain degree of stress.

Or sell up sit back and chill. I decided on the latter and now merely check in occasionally as an interested bystander.

The procedure of constantly trading which has been adopted by the traders for some while now is obviously to keep the SP within a tight band around 365p.

I assume this is to establish a false value around the offer price. Why would anyone continue to hold these, knowing the corrupt methods in play???

I decided to sell 99% of my holdings and obviously don't expect the SP to increase. Having said that I would be happy for the holders and have no regrets were I to be proved wrong.

My reasoning was also "something is not right here" the SP is obviously being manipulated and not for the common good. Therefore this share no longer suits my interests.

One might therefore wonder why DK hasn't increased the offer? after all IDS must be worth more now? could it be that DK is confident from discussions that the existing offer will get over the line.?

A different query should be why if the Company looks to be underpriced now "why has the SP been manipulated within a tight band.

My personal opinion is that many underestimate the devious manner of the institutions that have interest in IDS.

After many years supporting this Company it wasn't an easy decision to sell the vast bulk of my holding. Let's see how it goes, won't have long to wait.

The SP improved due to the offer to buy. One might therefore assume it would drop back if the offer was unsuccessful. However we have seen subsequently the ability of institutions to manipulate the SP by keeping it within a tight range.

Therefore it's reasonable to assume they would be doing the same. Depending where they wanted the SP.

As always you pay your money etc. I am comfortable sitting this one out.

I'm of the opinion that DK has been working up to this grande finale for a considerable time though. I would be very surprised if the machinations were fruitless.
