BBC News - Would it bother you if you only got mail three days a week?

You paint a bleak picture Derek. However there have been changes in the years since your departure. For example Martin Seidenberg is now running the show. I think this alone will make the future more promising. Time will tell.
I acknowledged my lack of insider knowledge Derek. Therefore I cannot disagree with your viewpoint. Perhaps as an ex employee and shareholder you could share your suggestions with management and inform us as to their response?
I will readily acknowledge that the inner workings of IDS are far removed from my area of expertise. Therefore I find difficulty understanding how they can possibly get away from the cycle of failing the USO and therefore being fined, without increasing the headcount of workers. Adding services surely means taking on more employees, which will be further costs to the bottom line.?
Derek, One day less will make a difference, whether enough remains to be seen. I am not qualified to suggest which day would be more benefit to company or customer but am certain this is well documented. They should just make a decision and get it done.
It's been obvious for long enough that the USO was a stone around the neck for RMG. In a normal situation the Company would have ditched it. Whereas RMG had to contend with USO, CWU plus an element of dodgy managers and workforce.
Let's hope reality has at last dawned on those that wield the power of change.
Isle, I suggest you ignore or filter those mentioned. Life is too short to fill your head with such nonsense. It seems though that you enjoy the banter. Doesn't appeal personally but whatever floats your boat.
As for SP movements we have both seen plenty of occasions where the SP is artificially controlled. This may or may not be the case currently.
I'm a shareholder and see no reason to jump ship.
