Sid, I had wrongly assumed as you gathered. Never know here which makes it interesting. Some are investing heavily others not so you get a real mix of views. As for manipulation that's been the case from day one. Easy to gain or lose but dull it isn't.
Today is fed news etc but I'm anticipating decent results month end. I know optimism is usually a good thing.

Knowledgeable :- To an extent but learn constantly.
Thick skinned:- It's a necessity here.
Riding out the rough periods, selling at the top and buying at the bottom :- I have done all three but have been caught out in the mid ranges occasionally.
Fortunately when I get it wrong I can afford to hold until they come right.
Oli, If we gave any credence to the mutterings here we would have given up long ago. Example sold up before the onslaught of Mr Kretinsky.
Of course we still have it to come when the shorters decide to have another go. They will peddle all sorts of mischief in order to achieve their goals.
In the meanwhile IDS continue to strengthen themselves thereby making life as difficult as poss for those that wish to cause harm. I have held since day one and intend remaining.
