As Bondy points out, the products are there, they work (very well apparently), look great and have industry approval, with testimonials; all ready to go.

I've worked on some reasonable sized contracts and when the customer says 'hold on, we've going to have to delay this for 6 months or even 12 months' that isn't my fault and there's nothing I can do. You really need to get over Bond, he was a CEO of a business, not your wife or husband!

This isn't hollywood either, “If you build it, they will come” it's a newly commercialised business selling in to a newly created niche market, which should have government support to give businesses the confidence to change and adopt the tech. Maybe write to them rather than on here?

I can make my mind up my own mid without you telling me what is going on. Yes, there's ramping, but I'm not making investment decisions based on it and it's a better disposition than trashing everyone's investment (rubbing their noses in the fact they've lost their hard earned money) and reminding them 5 or 10 times a day how difficult things are, and not offering a glimmer of positivity.

No problem, I can only comment from my experience and infairness it depends on what you're protecting and how easy it is to prove. Design rights, copyrights are pretty straight forward. Blatant patents the same, but something like the IP PHE is presumably very technical and therefore time consuming.

Unfortunately, if often comes down to who has the deepest pockets and can sit it out. A lot of SME's don't have the funds, let alone resources (man hours) to run a case. Some unfortunately go bust trying to prove the point, or get led on by Attorney’s promising results on the back of another £15k investment in the case, to recoup the £40k you’ve already spent.

What PHE would be arguing over are small technical differences and involve 'field experts' as individual witnesses. The one with lots of money will often keep asking for new experts, change their case or better still, sack their attorney and bring in new firm, massively stalling the case. This costs the claimant thousands as their attorney now has to start at the beginning again; new arguments; new case points and new bundles.

For smaller firms, they usually apply to put others off, as sending a letter with your patent usually scares someone else off. That doesn’t work with larger multinational organisations.

You'd be surprised how few cases make it to the decision stage, let alone that go in the favour of the patent holder. It’s a bit of a floored process!

Patents are obviously good to have (especially longer term), but they're not everything. As mentioned earlier, they can be worked around anyway. If PHE decided there was an infringement, there's not much they can do about it.

An infringement case could easily take 3 or more years and I can't see they have the funds to go up against a much bigger company. If the court or other side asked for deposits to be filed with the court, PHE wouldn't have the cash to do that, so there wouldn't be a case.

Not sure the US is really that key to PHE, given what else is out there. Trump will probably be pulling the plug on any new tech that isn't US made! This happened during his last term, companies being forced to by US goods.

The best thing PHE can do is crack on and get a full scale unit produced and sold!

The SP is sliding because there's a lot more people selling than buying. There's lots of reasons for this, from leaks that tests have gone badly (I suspect unlikely as the volume sales would be more dramatic), people off loading because they can make an few extra % if it rises, or people who are in profit and the SP is dropping below their stop loss.

One of the main reasons I bought back in, years and years after selling, was Emmitt. His company started working with PHE and they bought him/family out. I assume they realised he knew his stuff and was a safer pair of hands to deliver a finished product.

I've nothing to support any of that, nor the fact I think the Whites will have a great deal to do with Emmitt being CEO, regardless of how he looks.

As major shareholders of HUI & PHE it's worth remembering they have the most to lose (a hell of a lot) on both sides , if this development system doesn't work out.

My main concern is still whether HUI try and takeover PHE at a later date. Hopefully the SP will be higher by then!
