Why would you invest in AFC if their products have such limited use?

You ask a lot of questions, but answer very little. What evidence do you have that smaller towns can support charging from the grid? Can you name them?

Driving is simply a way of getting from a to b, why would I want the inconvenience of checking where I can refuel? What if my plans change, well they can’t as there isn’t anywhere to refuel?

Stand-alone charging means any location can have a charger without the huge cost of upgrading the entire network.

What area do you live in Taskmaster?

Have you ever visited the countryside, national parks, reservoirs and so on. Do you think the grid will be ripping up the natural land to upgrade the limited network in these areas? These are places where people drive to, then walk for several hours, while their vehicles could be charged.

Smaller towns (of which I can think of hundreds) are no different, they don’t have the infrastructure of large city’s and will not be able to install hundreds of charging points.

If Stratford have installed Tesla, I’d imagine there’s limited scope to setup a generic charging station as well. At some point there will simply not be enough power to charge anything at an acceptable rate.

The WRC, is certainly a race series that would need off grid charging, as the paddock moves location everyday.

I can see the European touring car championships soon shifting to BV, which is where BMW have previously invested heavily.

Maybe the WRC will follow, the additional torque will be very appealing to the drivers, as it’s not about top end speed

Audi and BMW have a very long and successful history in racing, just not in F1 type racing.

You don’t go to a Ford, Vauxhall, Mercedes, Volvo petrol station.....unless chargers become universal, there’s no hope. The amount that are out of order, is also a huge concern, as many are still virtually new!

Imagine what they’ll be like in 10 years, akin to the toilet cubicles in the services with a scruffy note saying out of order!
