Personally I believe Lawrence is here to spread fud.
As an example it mentions "the competition" (which was a topic covered in discussion earlier in the year, April sometime). Defining the companies/products it mentions as "competition" is disingenuous.
Why? Because only Ondo provide an end-to-end service both detecting the leak and fixing the leak (at no extra cost).
Why? Because only Ondo provide whole-residence monitoring at a price where insurers covering the cost get a RoI within the 1st year of deployment.
Phyn Plus: whole residence, $580 cut pipe to install, no plumber provision.
Phyn Sensor: $50, but you need to know where your pipes are gonna leak in advance?!, no plumber provision.
Flume2: £336, and you need the right kind of water meter to stick it on, no plumber provision.
Moen 900 Flo: £649 cut pipe to install, no plumber provision.
The service offering and the relationships with insurers are moats for Ondo (along with the IP). Ondo is not just a IoT hardware developer, they're also building a multi-state US plumbing service.
I'm filtering Lawrence, but didn't want to let its unjustified doubt-seeding to go unchallenged.
