Hi Mr Bond
Please feel free to post anything you want to . - You're an excellent contributor here. - You only once rattled my cage when questioning my credibility on this forum . - Much to my regret, on that occasion, I over-reacted in my response. - Not usually like me, I like everybody to have their say regardless.. - Good luck.
My response was an over-reaction
The outstanding CC will, imo, prevent Barrick/Others t/o of Centamin. - So, if suddenly the CC is settled, the path is then cleared.- Watch this space. - On a different note, why are the awarded permit areas being kept secret? - I believe Altus details are known but the others are being kept under wraps. - What are they hiding and why? - I have a feeling a few surprises are in store here. - A few shocking surprises maybe.
Barrick and their legal-team will be fully aware of the Egypt v Centamin court case, it's outcome or lack of it as the case may be and the implications it has had for Centamin.- I have no doubt that they will be negotiating with eyes wide-open.
Thanks for the post Cowichan. - The undertaking to do it's best efforts within 12 months of this announcement, effectively lets EMRA of the hook in making a final Exploitation agreement. - If nothing happens within 12 months, then a definition as to whether they have performed 'Best efforts' can only be determined by a challenge through the 'Legal system'. - I think by now, everybody knows what that will mean. - I fear a long protracted outcome here.
Hi Rocket V1
Agree, if Governments and Banks have the arbitrary-power to set prices, what is the point of having a market to establish price-discovery? - However, if there is a market it should be illegal to interfere with it. - This is where the 'Regulator' comes in or rather doesn't. - It's only the fact that the Regulator', the Referee if you like, is part of the scam, that allows it all to happen. - So, what can be done? - The answer is nothing. - The bad guys have won.
Thank you Cowichan
Your message outlines very well the dereliction on the part of Centamin in exercising their duty of care to shareholders in respect of accounting for the way their funds have been used. -" Does not meet the criteria for development". - What criteria is that? - If we knew what that was, allied to published information, we might be able to make sense of it. Instead, all we have to go on is a meaningless statement that it does not meet an unknown criteria. - So very Centamin if I may say so and a few more million dollars written-off without any accountability.. Time to come clean Centamin and time to start to play the game with your shareholders. If MH is the man that people seem to think he is, he should provide answers to the important/concerning questions raised by Cowichan. As for Cowichan himself, he has ploughed a lonely furrow on this one and in doing so, has succeeded in raising the profile of these serious questions outside of the Centamin boardroom. Others are now watching. - The response should be interesting - very interesting. - As for myself, I should like to offer my sincere thanks to Cowichan for the effort he has put in on all our behalf. - Many thanks. - Let's support him if we can.
Hi halfpenny
It has so far and I can't see them giving up on this milch-cow easily. - Base 111 or no Basel 111. - It is a way of taking advantage of a no-risk venture that always pays-out. - No sir, there'll be no laying down and accepting fate on this one. - IMO
Hi Paul
Agree, Martin Horgan is an unknown quantity at this time and to be fair, needs some time to prove himself one way or the other. But, he is just the CEO, following on from previous CEO's. - They take orders and guidance from others. Considering the sabotage and vandalism that took place under previous management raises the question as to the 'Ethos' that was in place that dictated/allowed such behaviour. - The big question for me is whether this Ethos is still in place. - If it is, Martin Horgan will have to toe the line just as others had to. - The jury is still out for me. - Time will tell.- Q3 is the truth quarter, let's see what emerges.
Hi Cowichan
What a wriggling can of worms, or should I say snakes, we have going on in this Egyptian crime-thriller. - The dots join-up everywhere. - And, in my opinion, still ongoing, and that includes Centamin. - Horgan could well prove to be the 'Messiah' that many are claiming, for all our sake's, I hope so. For now, it's impossible to say one way or the other. However, for me, until he's proved it, he remains a part of the intrigue, the sub-plot, that is currently in play.
Hi Cowichan - Indeed far too big a question for any of us to answer.
The boasts of heraldry
The pomp of power
For all that beauty and all that wealth er gave
Await alike the inevitable hour
The paths of glory lead but to the grave.
Something to ponder for a quiet Sunday: - With the rich getting richer faster than at any time in history and the poor getting poorer, what happens when they've got it all? - This is the unstoppable direction of travel that now prevails. - The bad-guys are winning and they are going to win. It will be Gold, Silver and Bronze for the bad guys. What can anybody do? - Thoughts anyone?
Thanks Tibbs - Starting to get really interesting now isn't it? - One thing stands out for me, Andrew mentions Central Banks topping-up their gold-reserves positions through purchasing physical-gold. - The BoE isn't though, at least not so far as I'm aware, Gordon sold much of what we had in reserve and there are no reports of BoE purchasing gold. - Strange don't you think? - Unless of course they, in cahoots with US, know what the next stroke to be pulled is going to be.
If Barrick is interested in T/O of Centamin, I should think they would want the CC out of the way. - So, how interesting it will be if suddenly the CC is back in the news with a date for review. - Just a hunch. - Watch this space.
