Last Friday in October - The 4 weeks of November plus a couple for the interrupted month of December and that''s it. - The theory goes that all books will have to be square to accommodate Basel when he let's the 'New Year' in. - I'm beginning to have serious doubts as to the reality of this emerging scene. - For a start, the U.S. will still be suppressing gold-price to protect the dollar, so I can't see that changing much. - As for Basel 3, I'll be surprised if they haven't already invented a new instrument/device/derivative - whatever - that allows them to circumvent and leave everything as cosy as it previously was.
There's just too much at stake. - We'll soon know.

Wow Cowichan - Fame at last. - It was noticeable some time ago that others were taking note of your postings. - When Centamin had a go at you it was a sure-sign that you were making some important points. - Well done. - As I say, fame at last, and to think I knew you when you had nowt. :-)

In my view, Centamin is currently on probation. - MH, we think, has been brought in to steady the ship and see it through this probationary period. - So far, he appears to be doing a decent job in that some semblance of stability has been achieved.- Last Q of the year assumes great significance now. Any reporting of further set-backs during this time, market-wise, will be extremely difficult to contain. - So much going on now. so many new-irons in the fire, so many prizes to be won, it would be a tragedy if behind the curtain, nothing has really changed. - I think we'll soon have a clue as to direction of travel here.

I agree with Gnome about the restoration of trust as a requirement for the market to take Centamin more seriously. - When the antics of the directors included deliberate sabotage, which in itself is a direct and deliberate attack against its own shareholders, the breaking of 'Trust' to that degree takes some getting over and some forgetting. It not only robbed them, but also neutralised the outstanding fundamentals of having serious money in the bank, unhedged and without debt, one of only a handful of miners in that position. It suddenly didn't mean much anymore. The market is still very wary and still needs convincing. There's only one way to do that and we all know what it is. However, the merest hint of further shenanigans and Centamin will, once again, suffer the long slide back down the snake. IMO

I must say, the same thoughts had crossed my mind. - But, as you suggest, some sort of arrangement must have been worked out in order to maintain separation/accounting.- For me, it's the most exciting part of the RNS. - Joining the dots going forward, with the new solar-facility coming into play, the savings in capex and what that will mean to the bottom-line is quite a prospect. - Always supposing there is commercial gold in Nugrus.

I meant to add also that the reference to Dec.1st for further news may have spooked the market into a 'let's wait and see' mindset.

The SP and P/E ratio that market is prepared to pay is a subject in itself. - At times it appears as though the SP is on a leash with the holder of the leash in firm control. - This has given rise to speculation about manipulation and takeovers and I've been one of the speculators. -Based upon past shenanigans, I'm still of a mind to think that this strategy might still be in play. - If it turns out that this is the case, then it would be desirable for the SP to remain as low as possible for the accommodation to take place. It would also be in the interests of those who have assisted in bringing about this scenario. - As for the SP today, I believe there is much in the Q3 RNS to support an uplift and wouldn't be surprised to see a delayed-reaction in this regard. - How's that for sticking my neck-out?

My 2 cents worth. - Agree with Gnome's use of words - a 'Steady as she goes' Q3 report. - No negative shocks as in previous Q3's - thank the Lord for that. - Thanks Mr Tibbs for Kees Decker response, for me at least, that is reassuring. - One big plus I feel is the new Nugrus concession can use Sukari facilities for processing. - That for me is a 'BIG DEAL'. - Potential for significant capex savings and an enhancement to Sukari output. - This appears not to have been picked-up by the market as yet. - Finally, I note that the Umrus concession has replaced the previously awarded Samyoky block. - There's been some back-door dealing on this one I feel, I wonder who with? - I'll leave Cowichan to perform the forensics here, but there may be some significance in this. - December 1st now looms large as an important date in the calendar. - Let's hope it turns out to be as important as December 25th is to all of us.

If it does happen, it will be the fulfillment of a long-standing agenda I feel. - And I suspect, an agenda that has involved the accommodation of movement of the chess-pieces on the Centamin chess-board. - An accommodation that has proved expensive for shareholders, but not necessarily for Directors. - It would also explain mysteries, that for so long now, have been difficult to understand.

After truth-quarter Q3 prelims, Barrick has just reported that it is on course to 'Achieve 2021 production targets'. - Now that's what we want to hear next Tuesday from Centamin - No if's or but's . - I can't remember the last time these words were spoken by Centamin after reporting their truth-quarter results. - It'll be music to the ear if we hear them next week. IMO

Oh yes, nothing new in linking Centamin with M&A. - I'm suggesting that POG going on a run could well produce some hard evidence of this interest sooner rather than later. - :-)

Just a thought: - If POG is about to take-off, if there is M&A interest in Centamin, strange happenings may begin to surface. - Watch this space.
