Just looking back from 31st Jan 2023 when the SP was still 17p to the present day 5th Jan 2024 where we are now at 0.098p ! Representing a 174 fold decrease in the share price !

To put it into another context if someone had invested £100k at 17p, it would now be worth £574 !!

At least we know the oil is still there, question is, do we suddenly get to hear of a remarkable improvement in production between now and Feb amongst other developments? 🤔

Canadian overseas is now just £1M Mcap or roughly $2M Canadian dollars.

Just a week ago the share price was 3 times what it is currently and just a month ago it was nearly 20 times what it is now!

I've left a small amount in here just on the possibility of either some positive development transpiring or a small amount of value left for shareholders should they go ahead and sell assets

An alleged conspiracy to reduce production as a way to defraud investors would require broad and sustained communication and co-ordination across levels and organizations.

This communication would be electronic and therefore retained for the scrutiny of regulators.

This retention archive will be available for the scrutiny of the buyers of the company -- buyers' IT department, buyers' auditors, buyers' compliance managers. Even the buyers of THAT company and the buyers of THAT company -- whoever successively owns it for the next seven years.

(If there was a conspiracy, COPL would be radioactive and untouchable by any buyer. Defeating the alleged purpose.)

Such alleged co-ordination would need to span from the exec all the way to the newguy field worker or contractor who is (in this stupid allegation) ordered to drive out to the wellhead and sabotage production.

There is no way to have all of those people --literally every department-- complicit in a conspiracy without creating an electronic paper trail as wide as Wyoming. Stupid.

There would be whistleblowers. There would be leaks. There would be jilted employees (who are now losing their jobs, remember) doing tell-alls.

None of that exists. Not a single thing.

That's why there is no investigation and no response from regulators. They know this, even if The Mob doesn't."

Exactly, especially when it comes to small cap companies they are all high risk to a degree, but thanks for stating the obvious bebeto !

The big risk for you I reckon is being out of this when it takes off as the drill gets under way. The placing was hurtful to many, but it allows the company to get on with it. I remind people of these bits from recent RNS's which provides some assurance -

So the way I read this is that it doesn't really matter if it was deemed illegal or not that the bod was issued with a bond, the overriding fact is they have simply ended up with way more debt than what the assets are now worth and we are out of time.

I think this is the view regulators will take with this one. Unfortunately on this occasion this stock had quite a large p.i retail following so quite a few got suckered in and lost money.

I think if they were close to breakeven or touching on being cash flow positive, other sources of funding may have been available to them.

But clearly with production at just 1,083 bopd as at 28th December and the Senior lender calling in the debt straight after the JV terminated, I can't see any other form of funding being available or anyone willing to throw good money after bad.

I've always been positive of the potential of Canadian overseas in the past, but the bod through their own incompetence as well as other external factors have well and truly screwed this up. The 2.5M placing is just to allow a bit of time for a firesale and nothing else, so I simply see no way out of this now. Wish I could be more hopeful but this is the sad reality.

You think HE1 is utter dog crap and yet today you posted your prediction of a 10 bagger over on COPL on opening on Tues when, it closed at 0.225p having dropped all the way from 60p+ and after hours they drop another clanger with a 0.015 placing haha.

The last few RNS's there have been disastrous on an epic scale and COPL is now finished but good luck there!

Very disappointed and dismayed by what is unfolding here. Just have to accept we've all been had and well and truly led up the garden path.

Because it is now known by all how incompetent the bod have been and just how bad the situation is with current production, lack of cash and lack of a JV partner, any interested party would just wait for copl to fold.

That's what I'd do if I was a major now looking to pick this up on the cheap !
