RE: AstraZeneca starts trial of COVID-19 antibody treatment27 Aug 2020 15:19
AZN in the early weeks of july before mad Monday was being hotly tipped by the industry for a push on in value. On Mad Monday it pushed £101+ and rapidly fell as so many shares hit their sell instructions based on that. It has never recovered from there, but generally speaking I feel the Covid Oxford trial is priced in, however given the scale and size of the business as more detail matures I would imagine it wouldn't be unrealistic for it to grow in the late 80s over time. Historically (and having held this for a while) it tends to be slow and stable as oppose to unwieldy and spectacular.
The JPM overweight rating to me really dented it and thus once the sells flooded it really rocked it.
I would see pre that getting it to a £92 high was a big achievement. Its the sort of stock I would say when it has a bad day or it drops, you can actually be savvy and 'top up' as I find it to be a pretty reliable place to invest in albeit a 'steady eddy'
Patience is key.
