Oh my days, we've got galaxy repeating the same stupid valuation nobody cares about because NAV doesn't matter, and then other people pretending their charts are predicting the future lmao. Technical analysis doesn't matter for squat with shares since they aren't as liquid as forex and they mostly move on fundamentals. So much stupidity going on here it's ridiculous.

I cant take him too seriously if he likes to invest at a discount to book value. ben graham would love it but theres more to the story here. Good management, growing eps, increasing return on capital, good cash flows. im trying to build a nice big holding here, just need more funds.

Excellent. Finding opinions from customers is part of what Phil Fisher would call "scuttlebutt" - first hand research on a company. I've been a long term holder for a while, just need some more funds to be able to top up here. The fundamentals in my view are great.

I think the fundamentals are strong, we have strong relationships with the big retailers, especially amazon and google, and the RNS usually speak about the bango technology such as its consumer intelligence stats etc for the merchants. No doubt they need to keep the game up with their R&D with top programming/software dev talent for good implementation but also leaders who understand the direction the products need to go in to keep on top. It seems like management know what they're doing and I think the company is confident in its ability to keep going. Sure there is competition, but bango is scooping up market share and I don't think they need to be overly concerned about competitors making inroards at this stage - they are taking over the DCB game in the big areas currently.

I don't think the sp drift is frustrating at all. In fact I'm glad of it - I get paid next week and I plan on topping up!

Indeed! So forgive the newb question, but what does this mean for shareholders? Will we have to vote on whether to accept? If it gets taken over does that mean we sell all our shares or we get shares in the acquiring company? I only have a small holding here, have a small capital gain on what I paid so far but not sure what the end result could be

How has anyone else decided between bwy and rdw? Both companies have such good fundamentals in terms of eps, peg, p/e, return on capital, profit margins, net current assets, and others. I don't know enough about the specifics of home building and the industry to judge on the qualitative factors and how the companies both differ in these respects. Can anyone help out? What I do know is that RDW seems to have steady growth, and Bwy seems to be leaping ahead, which makes me a bit uneasy about how bwy can keep up the pace of growth. thanks

There is also lots of research saying that investing in individual shares over passive funds tracking broad indices is pointless. We have to be careful what we listen to in investing as the academia and the practice are quite far removed from each other, aside brilliant things like john burr Williams's discounted cash flow valuation method. Whatever research says, a large mature company cannot usually grow its EPS by 100% year on year, whereas small cap companies which haven't yet grew their return on capital, profit margins, and management personnel to full capability yet certainly can do that. The management of PCF certainly seems able and interested in creating value for shareholders and growing the business for the long term

Hello all, I'm hoping someone more informed on the investment characteristics can help me. I'm invested in both PAG and ALD and it has occurred to me that not only is my portfolio overweight in financial institutions, but these 2 companies directly compete with each other. I've looked at the fundamentals for both of them but I'm unable to determine which would be a better holding. To me they both seem to have good EPS growth, good management, and good potential to be more profitable in the years to come than they are today. PAG is clearly bigger with an Mcap of just over 1 bil, but I'm wondering if anyone has any opinions that might help me make a decision (if necessary). I am happy to buy and hold both I just don't want to expose myself to unnecessary risk if they both tank during a downturn in financial services.

I was pleasantly surprised to see PCF shoot from like -140 in my holdings to being at the top of my portfolio with +200 or so. Not a bad gain for a small fry and I'm going to buy more when I can as I'm here for long term value. I completely agree with your point that PCF is small so has much more potential for explosive growth than some of the more mature young banks like ALD and especially PAG. Here's hoping the price will stay steady whilst we load up!

I don't currently have a holding in this share, but my technology holding was ULS and I think I'm going to be buying into bango when I get paid next month. It looks like it might be a very exciting opportunity.

Glad things are going well. Hopefully I can continue to top-up my holdings after I get paid. I'd like to build a sizeable holding in this company so I'm in for the long term. Hoping for good capital gain and dividends over the years as the company matures. I don't know much about investing in banks but I'm also in ALD and PAG. I'm worried that being in 3 different banks might mean my portfolio is overweight in financial institutions. If anyone has any thoughts that'd be nice to hear. Is PCF exposed to the same markets and risks as the others?

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi - I'm slowly accumulating shares in PCF hoping for long term gain. Seems like it's well positioned to grow, good fundamentals too. Cheaper access to funds should increase return on capital employed, which has been going up in recent years. With the P/E and PEG ratio we're seeing I think we can be confident we're buying with a margin of safety.
