Europe set to open mostly higher amid earnings, data24 Oct 2025 07:03
Major European stock indexes traded mostly during premarket hours on Friday as investors assessed the latest earnings reports from French pharmaceutical company Sanofi and Italian energy giant Eni, while British lender NatWest is set to release its financial results later in the day. On the economic front, new data on UK retail sales, Spanish producer inflation and the labor market, as well as fresh PMI reports from Germany, the UK, and the Eurozone, will capture investors' attention today.
The DAX was flat, while the FTSE 100 advanced by 0.20% at 8:00 am CET. Simultaneously, the Euro Stoxx 50 improved by 0.39%, and the CAC 40 gained 0.40%.
The euro was 0.11% lower compared to the dollar to go for $1.16062 at 7:58 am CET. At the same time, the pound traded flat against the greenback, selling for $1.33195.
