my maths and analystic skills are ok but like many near ninety year olds my IT skills are c..p which is why I cant find details of the therdw divs tosupport the 5% yield. do please help me out and teach me a few tricks. it really bugs me that I cant do better with out bothering you chaps! PS I must be doing something right though as ive put every cent I own other than my house into tef and reinvested the divs for years largely due to the brilliant posters onthis site which has given me amuch higher standard of living than otherwise. my thanks to you all and please do continue tokeep me both rich and entertained

id take a small bet that the sp does not fall by the full 9p on 7th june when the shares go xd. ive bought some more today cd on that premise. I originally planned to buy xd but there could be a big weight of cash waiting and the background for the sector could well improve over the summer.

hi both the sp is in freefall wholly or at least mostly onthe doubts of the viability of the residential part of the 9 elms development. with a discount of 25 plus to net asset value what % reduction in nav would you guess if the markets worst fears were realised on this issue. In other words would the sp still look silly cheap after the worst likely writedown? This is probably as stupid a question as "how long is a piece of string" but i would still like to hear your current views as such a paper loss in such a short space of time is highly alarming and yes i have noticed that the directors have been putting their own money where their mouth is.

many thanks sain. most helpful as usual. patience must be the watchword. i watched the one hour presentation during the night(like you im a poor sleeper) & was impressed by the professionalism of the bod especially the finance director who,in answering the questions at the end, could quote every detail of even the smallest developments off the cuff and the reasons for inclusions.i take your point about possible writesdown but these must have already been in the bod's mind when they were being so confident of further earnings growth in the current year.do keep the posts coming.i really value them. LOL

having missed the boat yesterday at 375 i dipped my toe in the water this am at 385 in a generally more stable market and was very surprised to see the reaction near the close to 375.6. as the background was still ok.am i missing something?

Thanks Sain for your helpful post on smp.Josh seems to have gone awol . however, "To buy or not to buy that is the question". Would you be inclined to add now or after Feb 3 when the results are due? Or perhaps not at all and instead add to my much larger holding of tef to which I am firmly wed until death do us part. My very best wishes to you & fellow tef enthusiasts for the New Year. My resolution is to stop making silly quotations!
