Unless he's got DMA
Nope, highest on Friday was 7.425 to sell, today 7.6.
He's not who we thought he was.
What was the point of your comments ND?
Looking for 3 words...
Not denying, if there's no mention of any divi in next results what would you put, where? :))
hi bakky, just dawned on me the big increase in domain numbers occurred mainly in the last 3 months of 2019 so i'm guessing they'll recognise 3/12 of revenue in 2019 with the rest in 2020.But still very healthy growth.
If this website is any good https://tld-list.com, then the revenue for the year should be close to $21mil .
Just .vip gives us 2.06m extra, work about 0.45m and about 0.3m from high value domains(icm, law, shopping).
I'm not getting too excited about Adultblock yet, not before 2021.
The big question : how is all that translating into profit this year and into future years.
I started taking notes early summer about details on .vip domains and a few things stand out:
in June 84% in zonefile - now 96%
parked 67%- now 44%
16.07 we had 19% total deletes -now under 1% ( it looks like the vip renewals were over 70% this year as well, so again top marks on that)
Godaddy group has 350K vip domains , overtaking xyz. Only .app have more at 392k .This trend has accelerated in the last month with Godaddy appetite for .vip increasing . I see this as very bullish .
I like Toby's approach of reducing expenses wherever he can : skeleton staff, moving domains to cheapest registry backend, renegotiating .London, spending about 2p on updating mmx.co :) (maybe we should use our own extensions for corporate website? ) As they turn the company around they are well incentivised long term and we should be looking forward to the expansion of MMX .The potential of vip in China alone is vast.
or under another alias :)
That's a shame. I'll be looking forward to their informative and entertaining posts when the time out expires.
Verisign bribed ICANN so they can now increase the price of every . Com domain by 7% every year.
We don't have any increase caps on our domains, but with . Com going up will make our strings more competitive. And then again when we reach some good few millions renewals every year the Eps increase can only come from price increases, let alone organic growth through new registrations
Did you sell in here Taproot? I haven't seen you much around.
Sunday I bet you feel a bit smug for all the averaging down you've done last year.
Again no sign of Dandee but we all know he only comes out at down(days) :)
GL all holders
Domain registrations for the year up just under 35%. And revenue follows after with new domain buys going straight into profit as all our expenses are covered by renewals
I was thinking it's really odd that a CEO that's has a PR background of many years never puts a spin on updates and really want his performance to be judged on numbers and not on empty promises. Probably Toby had enough doing it for other companies and wants to be honest and straightforward with shareholders
Looks like suddenly people realise de defensive qualities and the potential for outperformance plus a speculative potential of being taken over!
I should think about 5% annually can be achieved easily enough. At least at this price. That would make a big difference in Eps if done every year. Verisign has done this for donkeys years
Hi Bakky
As much as I want a dividend, I'm thinking Toby will go for a tender offer just to retire some of the shares so the Eps looks better. Not a bad thing as all my shares are in an ISA so no capital gains tax
Good start of the year

Our CMO Christa Taylor sure talks a lot about recession
yes,keep the powder dry
$19.2m revenue and $6.8m Ebitda is my guess
Plus savings of 0.6m or 0.4m (2019 and 2020) for moving to Nominet and Uniregistry
