If Stobart want this my view is that they will need to make a knockout bid straight away, if they get into a bidding war with the big boys they don’t have the fire power to win. Unlike many I think 20p would win it for them but if they come in at 15p I suspect it would encourage others, particularly asset strippers (private equity) to make an offer due to breakup value.
Remember the SOLG programme was also small at the time of discover, in fact it is my recollection that they were nearly out of money. A couple of good sharktooth results this year would allow them to raise at a much higher price for large scale drilling next year or to tempt a JV partner into paying for the drilling.
It’s a matter of opinion. I personally don’t see £2 without news but if the news is good you won’t see £2 and it will open up way past that level. Given the previous strong trial results and the directors previous faith at much higher prices I am reasonably optimistic that something can be salvaged and that the risk/reward is tolerable for now. Japanese trials due in a matter of months, given issues on the last trial would be interesting to know if they could unblind the Japanese trial without predjudicing the out come and continue it.
M2 is very much a side show it is the high grade interval that is most exciting to me and gives me encouragement that this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity (I wasn’t,t in SolGold and sold BMN far too early) Does anyone know if any of the remaining four M2 drills that we are waiting on assays for are any closer to shark tooth? These can’t be far away and could give furthe good indication. On the shark tooth drill I am surprised at how little has been completed and presume they have had some problems over the last month which it would have been nice if this had been commented on as everyone can read the announcements.
m2 can definitely get us to 2-3p depending on what we see, I feel that they have decided to drill additional holes on M2 because of what they have seen while drilling. Shark tooth can take the price way higher as they are looking for a large high grade deposit. Estimated potential NPV is billions for shark tooth. As they say the drill it will decide.
Drilling due to start early April I would say beginning of May at earliest for first assays. M2 assays should be ready end of April. M4 drilling due to re-commence and results could be quite quick as the holes are pretty shallow.
Max, There is actually very little interest in the share at the minute, between Friday and Today only about 2,000 of shares has been traded. I would not expect activity to pick up until mid-late April as we get closer to M2 Assayay and Sharktooth drilling is underway.
Companies do not get second opinion on JORCs, there is a huge amount of time and expense involved which a junior minor can not afford. People make mistakes sometimes and you get over it and move on. Its unfortunate for the company but not terminal given the potential of the current work programme.
The JORC issue is what it is, i am expecting an overall increase following infill drilling, my issue is that i dont think the grades and volumes at M2 justify a significantly higher price without sharktooth coming in. The potential of sharktooth is large enough that i'm prepared to risk a couple of thousand on this but is by no means a ceartainty.
