I think expectations should be managed. The board made the position clear when Sig last reported. Here are just a couple of extracts:-

"As a result of the impacts of declining revenues under the previous strategy and COVID-19 on the construction industry across Europe generally, management expects revenues for 2020 to be approximately £500m lower than 2019 as reported, post the disposal of the Air Handling division. Management is targeting a return to around 2019 levels of Group revenues (as reported, post the disposal of the Air Handling division) in 2022."
"The loss of revenues in 2020 is expected to impact profitability, cash generation and therefore debt levels. "
So in my opinion good results is a matter of interpretation. Not as bad as they might have been, perhaps, for the period under review
Every chance of successful progress over the next couple of years.

"Good" results for the period to June, which includes the time when everybody was suffering and learning from their first experience of Covid lockdown would be very much a bonus for me. I do not expect that. But I expect to see optimism arising from post period trading. And read what they have, and intend to, put in motion with the aim of making money for all involved.
My expectations are of a positive RNS, but I do not expect so much as to be particularly disappointed. It is early days for the new set-up, in difficult times, but at a stage when the sector knows how to go about it.

Francis has been in the CEO's chair for 7 months, and I expect CD and R's due diligence took longer than the few months they have been invested and their board members were appointed. So I think it rather early to declare anyone 'wrong for the job.' Tomorrow will be the first material report since capital raise, and marks the beginning of the new CD and R/Francis phase, not the end of the Sig story.

Yvonne Tutte, chairmans wife notifies buying substantial quantity. Make of that what you will, but she is not the only relative buying shares in husbands new build business today. I think the strength of the sector going forward now may be underestimated.

And nigh on £100k added by CEO's wife. Make of that what you will.

I have added enough as of today, and am holding some for Thursday ( just in case ) But I do expect a reassuring storyline at least.

You can argue it for ever. Officially, it was awarded for his 'plan' and I think bringing Sig on board. And they needed somebody. But the fact is 40% of voting shareholders did not like it. Done and dusted now.
