RE: Looks like we are starting to get real...19 Aug 2024 21:48
Everyone has their preference in investing DOC, not everyone has 5k,10k,20k,100k especially to invest in AIM stocks. Others put couple hundred or few quid.
I dislike averaging up unless it goes up a few cents, i use an online share averaging calculator. Also when I buy i always buy a good amount at what I perceive the lowest, then do small top ups if its near my average. Otherwise I do not bother and leave it.
Forget price targets for a moment, If you buy at 2.5p double is 5p, if you buy 2.80p double is 5.60p, depending how many shares you have the difference in profit is still big. Every pence counts!
I invest max £1000-£3000 on a few aim stocks to diversify instead of putting all in 1. Thats my limit for this market. It’s too volatile and you can lose it all! So i chose this strategy, its worked best for me.
Obviously pick stocks which are fully funded, small or no debt, have cash, have good management and multiple revenue making catalysts.
Petro Matad ticks some of these, but we need news within a few weeks even just Heron 1 producing will do for now. Heron 2 drilling and Gibi can wait, I just want a good RNS.
