I see it going way above 100p on news then dropping back.
Then higher on financing, dropping back and settling above 118p target price as that will be re rated on financing.
Some will take profits. But timing buying back will be risky. I think long term this is just going to keep increasing as the room for expansion is there which leads to higher investment and larger market cap.
I'm retired. Have Tesla Model 3 Performance. Will swap that for latest version when they get to 400 mile range or more.
I'm happy keeping my Tesla and BCN shares. My Tesla shares all in ISA. BCN in Sipp, ISA, junior ISA (s), normal trading accounts.
BCN will be kept long term although I may switch some to Tesla and also keep that long term.
Tesla would have been a better return as it's up 10 times in 18 months. Not sure whether BCN can match that but maybe 5 -8 times from here.
Anyway BCN certainly worth holding until production plus a couple of years.
Been in BCN since 2015 so my buy in a lot higher than current SP. Too early I think. But Tesla has certainly changed the world and demand for Electric Cars and Battery Storage.
The world is going one way for road transport and that's electric. That means lithium demand will be strong for a very long time whatever the form lithium is used.
Elon has said he was interested in lithium clay mining on battery day 22 September 2020. He also said surprisingly he could just use salt to extract lithium from the clay.

I see this possibility of Ganfeng buying out BCN regularly posted. My belief it is the posters aim to try and shift the share price.
They are lots of companies that might be bought out . But the one that would make more sense would be Tesla buying BCN.
But I think they missed the boat some years back on that. Tesla are in a fantastic financial position nowadays and could easily go that route. But Ganfengs' interest in BCN I think precludes that now.
