Bought in a couple of months ago - felt the fundamentals were good - debt free and a good order book. Still feel the company is undervalued but guess they need to prove profitability. Sold because I can’t see the bottom here. The market doesn’t like the business -auto trades are ridiculous, continuous volume of low value sells are manipulating this share. I’ll buy back again once it’s stabilised but when that will be who knows? Time to cut my losses. GLA

Bought in yesterday - have been in GFRD previously and couldn’t believe the share price, so given the recent contracts news thought it worth investing. I’m beginning to wonder whether it was a good idea but only time will tell. Look at the daily chart which is moving up and down in a very tight formation. I’m no expert but it appears to be being held back (manipulated?). I’ve seen it before (can’t recall which share). Bots were involved making purchases and sales in low values. All the signs are good for the business but outside factors can override this.

Long term holder in both Opti and SBTX. Agree with your sentiment. I invested on the basis this seemed to be more than the usual AIM business and I still believe it will come good. The main problem I have is that we continue to be promised progress and good news but it never quite seems to materialise. From past experience on AIM I have to keep reminding myself that Optibiotix is a different beast but have to confess the wobbles are becoming a bit more frequently of late and my resolve is being challenged. SBTX development is supposedly due imminently but it has been for weeks. I know things take time but like the continued ‘carrot’ of an SBTX ‘dividend’ to Opti shareholders which has been on the table for a long time now it’s always when the time is right and there always seems to be that sticking point ensuring conditions don’t quite allow delivery of the promise. Patience is a virtue and you really do need it with this investment!

I don’t post much but drop in to the board now and again. I’ve been invested in Opti for a couple of years now and will definitely not be selling my ‘core’ investment. I’ve also made some profit trading Opti on a short term basis. I’m very wary of AIM but this seems to be a sound investment with excellent prospects and unusually, I’m in profit on this one with an average of around 60p. I’ve also taken a small position in SBTX recently. The majority on here are tolerant and balanced individuals and I’m sure happy to accept other people’s views - unfortunately, it just becomes tiresome when the same inane comments are repeated day after day with nothing new forthcoming. It seems every board has one and now 76 is progressing to multiple ids and talking to him(her)self so the filter button has been deployed and 76 and ‘zick’ have been consigned to the bin. I’m sure patience will be rewarded and when it takes off it will be swift and very rewarding.

Large buy showing at 4.45pm - 710k at £1.23. I don’t know enough about shorts, but could this be another one reducing and taking advantage of the late price drop?

That’s interesting Allatsea. I assume the app works along similar lines to the Aviva board who have somehow managed to give shareholders a 20% discount on their shareholding. :-(

This was one of the factors together with what I thought was a solid, safe FTSE 100 company when I bought in recently. Little did I realise that the directorate of Aviva make Fred Karnows Circus look like a well oiled machine. Sold out at the beginning of the week £4.34) because I couldnt face any more losses, unusually for me it was the right decision. May look for re entry to claw back some losses but when I’m unsure. It has to become oversold at some stage but the market doesnt like uncertainty and I can see the replacement being made internally. Can’t see that being well received.

Lland we all have to make a decision and with break even it’s obviously the right one for you. Good luck with your proposed investments. I don’t have a lot invested here so can wait but it’s beginning to try my patience. Another month to the next update then time for a rethink at that stage, maybe even break even myself st that stage. It’s all well and good saying shorts will have to close but as you say, they are well in control here. It’s difficult enough for a PI to make anything but when the odds are further stacked against you by this heavy shorting you begin to wonder why you bother. Keep the faith!

I’m beginning to wonder from recent experience whether shareholders amount to anything other than just being viewed as mugs. Sold out of Barclays because of a similar situation - good thing too because the price continued to fall. On another thread, don’t quite understand the out of hours trading but discounting the uncrossed trade at 16.35, every transaction is a buy and there are some quite chunky amounts. Demand there at this price and a rise next week?

Whilst I was working, I could never secure the job that paid handsomely and rewarded failure. If so, I’d be very wealthy now! :-) Seriously though you have to question what is going on at this company. I agree with the poster who said Wilson should go now and without bonus etc. If he’s moved the share price marginally during a raging bull market then please can someone justify why he should be rewarded? More so, the handling and timing of his departure has been questionable in the least and akin to a farce. He might as well have said he was stepping down and going immediately, I really don’t think it could have had a worse impact. Add to this the impeccable timing of announcing it during volatile market conditions and no wonder the poor old shareholder is kicked squarely in the unmentionables once again. Really would expect the major institutional investors to be asking serious questions but then again, does their current silence mean they are privy to something we aren’t?

Can’t comment on the dividend Caddy but it is strange. Also, am I missing something? Why would he step down without any notice and no successor being appointed, but say he’s staying until April next year without a successor being appointed. It’s a cast iron, nailed on certainty that the share price is going to get hammered. Logic says you search for the replacement then announce he’s going. Unless he’s been pushed and therefore, he might as well go now, it couldn’t destroy value anymore than the current situation. Or is there something else going on behind the scenes?

Leas, have to agree, any blue day is a good day at the moment, particularly given the manipulation around this share and the market in general. It’s hard to be under water whatever the stock, just lost a few quid (ha ha) on the hapless management of one of our big insurers (quote me unhappy?) but when the shorters have hold it really does annoy. Have to keep telling myself the fundamentals of this business remain sound, it pays a good dividend and the management are doing a good job with the share price under very difficult conditions. It must be equally soul destroying for them to have a growing business under attack for nothing other than manipulation and greed. Don’t see figures in November being a problem and hopefully then the squeeze will be on, it has to happen, it’s just a matter of when.

Am struggling to ‘read’ this share at the moment. I bought in just before it went ex div, picked up a nice divi and a reasonable profit and sold them around the mid 2.20s. They then went on to £2.40. On the majority of broker comments, it’s a buy and updates earlier this year looked positive. I’m now beginning to wonder if there is something in the background but even if, it has to be already priced in. On the back of all this, I bought in again recently at £2.16 which was just over 7500 shares - it’s not stopped dropping since! I have a similar amount of funds available to buy another tranche but I’m not sure where the bottom is here and I’m just holding back at the moment. Whatever, it’s an opportunity to average down and increase the profit when the tide turns. Good news that GLG reduced their short I hope but who knows. I’ve always done well on E Sure in the past and it is the sort of share where sentiment can change very quickly - just hope it’s positive! GLA and stay strong.

Managed to sell this morning at £2.11 using my laptop rather than tablet to complete the trade. Cutting edge technology I think not! Final insult, despite my dividends being paid in to the bank account number I quoted, Equiniti were unable to verify my account details so they’re sending me a cheque rather than BACS payment. I am so glad to be out of this share. GLA

Tried to sell online through Equiniti who manage the staff Sharestore holdings today. What a sh*t antiquated system. Took so long to navigate the intricate system of inputting dob details that the market had closed by the time I’d mastered it. I’ll use their phone based tomorrow, more expensive but less hassle (I hope!!). Decided I’m taking my ‘generous’ dividend and severing all ties with this dog. Yes I know the dividend will be restored next year. But as we all know, according to McFarlane a few years ago, he was going to double the share price. We are of course still waiting and to add insult to injury it’s actually lower now than when he issued this pearl of wisdom. The only certain thing with this business is that the shareholders will continue to bear the brunt and suffer the shortcomings of the ‘esteemed’ management whilst they continue to collect large bonuses as reward for their continued failure. GLA and best wishes to current holders- I’m sure it will come good at sometime but I just don’t have the time to wait.

Been looking at buying in again for a few weeks and have bought a few today. Apologies to all holders, this usually means the stock will drop sharply or at best stagnate for light years. :-)

Don’t visit this board too often these days - it probably doesn’t need a genius to know why. It’s incredible just how this business/share keeps on giving on the bad news front. This time it’s the licence to trade that could be at stake and given Barclays track record and the continued desire for the legal and regulatory bodies to ‘cane’ this business at any opportunity, not sure I want to take a chance. I will await the results in the hope of an increased dividend and maybe a temporary increase in the price and then I think I’m out. Most of my shares were accumulated during the time I worked for them so I’ve no idea on my b/e price - anyhow it’s academic I just want out, this share brings nothing but grief. Hope the hedge fund knew what they were doing or somebody’s in the deep doo doo!!
