Some old info on OM (2017). RKH were expecting to recover 25-40mbo from OM and were looking to receive compensation for lost profits of $200-300M. That was in 2017. What is the expected profit on a barrel of oil today?
They were expecting the case to close in 2019! :-)
250m barrels of oil at $60 = $15B If you can't make a profit from that you are in the wrong business. Then there is Phase 2 which will already have all the infrastructure in place from phase 1.
Seems to me that since October the share price has been tracking the oil price. If I were to speculate I'd reason higher oil price means greater chance of FID.
