Shells CANNOT go beyond the total 12 month period AS THAT AIM LISTED ENTITY. It’s impossible - they delist after 12 months which will make them a private company and all shareholders will get share certificates and shares will still be held in a crest system. In very rare circumstances the AIM team can allow this to be slightly extended if they can prove a transaction is in final stages of being closed. Nowadays this is almost impossible.
After this they can re-list via main listing or go back to AIM again.

You said it - instant gratification. I for one am glad that a lot of deadwood is being cleared from the markets, I know your interests are in the private arena, but you would get a lot of support vending assets into shells. Then again it’s not overly worth it, unless you have core shareholder groups from the offset willing to go for the journey. In any other situation you’re in the hands of the brokers who destroy the shareholder register and do more harm then good, in my opinion.
Only the big big boys can operate in the DRC - any junior is deluded if they try exploration there.
Safe jurisdictions with historic misunderstood explorations seem to be a good route to go down. I quite like Aussie IRGS plays.
