RockRose has reappeared this morning and I will be writing more in due course but it is only appropriate to make a short comment now.

Firstly the shares have opened up at around £19 per share on good volume reflecting appropriate backing by cash of circa £16 per share and high quality management going forward. The Marathon assets are of high quality, doubles the production to 22/- b/d and 2p reserves of 62.9m boe.

RockRose will be a formidable generator of cash even after accounting for decommissioning liabilities and the Marathon balance sheet leaves nearly $400m of net cash and with only $91m of which is restricted.

The company has the cash, leverage opportunities and management skills to do many more deals and I consider that this is only a start, the market cap is now still only £240m and will surely go up once the long period of suspension has been balanced out. If it manages to remain quoted a much delayed appearance in the imminent updated bucket list is a certainty

I'd be surprised given that Dan said the payment should come through in the next few days

agreed...fwiw...we are now sitting at a 50% retracement...year low to high...so..not entirely unexpected.Low volumes,summer etc etc...patience required methinks.

Just spoken to Andrew Austin at @rockrose_energy , he’s delighted about the successful return but unsurprisingly thinks there is a long way to go and plenty to be getting on with, no surprise there then

The article does raise a couple of salient points and just because a reader does not happen to agree with them, doesn't make them less valid....
sounds like you're running out of puff.....
this article is totally lacking in substance....sounds more like he's looking for a lower level to buy...
look up the said Gary Newman...anyone can see the back catalogue of his previous articles.....judge for yourself his credentials or lack of.....

I am very confident that no news is good news.....stands to reason that if there had been any material change to anything that had previously been put into the public domain....then the market would similarly have had to have been notified.

Shareholders in Miton UK MicroCap (MINI) have requested to sell over 10% of the investment trust’s shares in the annual share redemption facility taking this place month.

Previous redemption levels have been modest at the £113 million fund launched by smaller company managers Gervais Williams and Martin Turner three years ago. This year, however, the company has received requests to sell from holders of nearly 18.5 million shares or 10.8% of its capital.

If new buyers for the shares are not found the trust’s market value will slip below £100 million, a significant threshold for the big wealth managers that are its main investors.

So quercusrobor what happens if this is just the start of them selling off ALL of their holding .........if.if if.......who knows..I'm a bear of little brain and tend not to over think think these things........- there may be another RNS TR1- very odd timing to sell when we’re apparently on the cusp of great things - that doesn’t seem odd behaviour to you?......

.....of course.....if you are of a nervous disposition,feeling dizzy....or prone to getting headaches......well....there are several courses of action I could recommend/suggest.....

Cant really see a big issue...just risk management, just another days trading tomorrow...either red or blue....and maybe news...
