....IF it is CPI who are substantially reducing ,and IF the sharp exit of their placeman on the board was due to a 'difference of opinion' between CPI and the rest of the NFX BoD as to how to best affect this reduction.......then it could seem that given what is written in the enclosed link to the Cpi website...hvng the best interests of the company to the fore etc etc ....it .is not exactly acting in the best interests of the plc (in this case Nfx) in which their funds were originally invested bvy unloading on the open mkt.....i.e....it is trashing the sp....and with it sentiment towards the investee plc.

re The SP being below 7 is a great top up opportunity to bring your average low if like me, you bought some shares in double digits. Sit back, relax and be patient.

whilst agreeing with your comment....seems to me that with all this now out in the open...particularly CPI reducing in scale on the open mkt, I can quite understand Dan's irritation in this regard....cld be a link here with sudden exit of their placeman....sp has no visible upward driver in the short term.In fact quite the opposite.
If pi sales evaporate with this knowledge.,which they should.....how low will this be driven?

....first week since the beginning of July the sp has been higher at the end of the week than at the start...(in spite of some of the assembled company!)

SP is totally irrelevant at the moment unless ypu are a short term holder. Some will be looking at the bigger picture in 12, 24 months time

looking back at your posts on this subject over the past few months....I would strongly advise anyone looking in here not to follow your investment theory...... would be interested to know where protection of capital fits into your mantra?

The problem in China could be due to the takeover by New Summit. It often happens in takeovers that the acquiring company is not interested in the whole company but usually one division or product area, & the rest is just baggage. It is possible that the NFX deal is a part they didn’t want & aren’t interested in, just irritated that money is due to be paid. Given we had the RNS on NFX001 clinical results on 30 May & its now early Sept, they certainly don’t seem over eager.

......a very sensible contribution and one which think would be unwise discount.

I also contacted the company and was rather surprised to speak to Dan Gooding directly. I am not going to repeat our conversation except that it helped me to consider next steps. Next Tuesday will hopefully bring more clarity. He was very helpful and open and an update is likely to be posted soon.

re...If it were still producing at 330/day or thereabouts then that storage tank would have been filled and there would most likely have been a notification about a sales contract for the content. It hasn't happpenned which gives support to a non producing well. Maybe deliberately shut in, maybe not.
